Oh....I forgot to ask my last question! Are my observations about my cervix normal for right after my period? I have read that your cervix is low and hard after a period so I'm a little confused. This is all so complicated! Thanks!!

No one has responded to my question yet, and in the meantime I bought an OPK and tried to see if I could tell when I was ovulation in relation to our "incident". What I found is this : I got a positive OPT on cd 12. I know these tests are supposed to predict ovulation is ABOUT to happen within 24 hrs, right? So this would put ovulation on cd 13 (which is today). I took another OPT today and it is back to negative. So now my question is....with unprotected s_x on cd 8 and ovulation on cd 13, what are my odds of conceiving?? Please help! I'm really nervous and don't want to have a panic attack waiting for me period to come if there is no reason for me to be worried. :-( Am I in the clear??

I am due for my period tomorrow and don't have the usual cramps that I usually get a few days in advance. My b___sts are also tender...not just the nipple but the b___st itself, which is strange. All other "symptoms" I'm having could easily just be chalked up to pms or stress so I won't bother go into them. Has anyone on here gotten pregnant from s_x 5 days before ovulation? I got a positive OPT 4 days after s_x....but I don't know how long after that I actually ovulated. I kind of just want to talk to someone or hear some kind of feedback from someone who can help shed some light on if this is possible for me? I took a preg test and it was negative 2 days ago....but it wasn't first morning pee, and I realize that would have been pretty early to get a pos test anyway.

Abby, sorry I was not able to catch you March 1st - out of country. I would have suggested PlanB. Yes, I know women who have gotten pregnant from s_x the last day of their period. We have heard from women who ovulate CD10. Sperm can last in your body 5 days. If your period comes up missing or light, take a couple more tests at one week intervals using first morning pee. Unusual fatigue is a very common early sign. Best of luck!

Thank you for responding!! My period didn't come yesterday. I thought for sure it would off and on....I have a little cramping but not at all as much as I usually do. I went cross country skiing yesterday and had to stop twice because I thought I was going to throw up. Both times it faded and then I felt fine. I've been so thirsty but have no appet_te and my lower back has been aching for a few days. I just have trouble believing I could actually be pregnant.....seems like such a far fetched possibility. 5 days before ovulation??? Has got to be rare! Guess I will get another test if it doesn't show up soon. Thanks again!

Hi Sun....nope I wasn't pregnant! I ended up getting my period the day after that last post!
