Hello ladies. I am new to this site and am having an interesting situation. (Hopefully I can explain it throughouly and not loose anyone) :) Here's my story.
In the month of March, the only time I had s_x with my husband was on the 17th. (I'm a CPA and it's busy season.) I'm on birth control, and been on it for 6 years. However, I did my miss two pills at that time due to being so busy, but continued with my pack. Anyways, I started my placebo's on March 23rd, and my "withdrawal bleed" has not started. It has now been 7 days of no bleed, and I am suppose to start my new pack of pills tomorrow. I have had cramping for the past 4 days, and minimal back pain. I have never missed a withdrawal bleed or period in my life, and I only get my cramps a couple hours before my period. Now I've had them all week! I went and took a blood test yesterday and it came back negative. I'm not sure what if it was the qualitative or quant_tative type, but when I did the math, IF I did ovulate and was pregnant, I would only be 10dpo.
So my questions are, is it possible to not get a withdrawl bleed and be pregnant? Does your body know not to bleed when you are pregnant even though you aren't far enoug along to test? And I'm assuming that 10 dpo might be to early to test. Thanks girls!

Heather, how do you figure 10 dpo when ovulation is usually 14 days before your expected bleed? Your s_x was only 6 days before the expected bleed, thus not in the fertile window. Yes, when getting pregnant the body knows not to menstruate even though it may be too soon to test. Some women bleed anyway. My guess is that between the stress of busy season and the irregular pill schedule your bleed has decided to skip. Alternatively, the irregular pill schedule caused you to ovulate a week late and your s_x was on the money, so you will not test positive until later than usual. How about other signs like fatigue, peeing more, lotion discharge, b___st and nip signs etc? I think you should continue with the next pack of pills and do a couple of home tests the next two weekends to make sure you are on the right track. GL!
