I ALREADY HAVE A MISSED PERIOD OF ALMOST TWO MONTHS AND WHEN I TRY URINE TEST, IT WAS POSITIVE. SO I GO TO MY DOCTOR AND THE DOCTOR TOLD ME TO HAVE TRANSVAGINAL ULTRASOUND. BUT THEIR WAS NO SIGN OF A FETUS INSIDE. SO I TRIED AGAIN A BLOOD TEST, STILL IT WAS POSITIVE. I DON'T IF MY COUNTING WAS CORRECT OR NOT. SO THE DOCTOR TOLD ME TO GO BACK AFTER TWO WEEKS FOR AN ULTRASOUND. CAN EARLY PREGNANCY CANNOT BE DETECTED BY MEANS OF ULTRASOUND EVEN IF YOU HAVE POSITIVE TESTS EITHER BY URINE OR BLOOD?

Ask your doc if it could be ectopic...I hope not though!

Chances are your calculations were alittle off. I thought that I was about 9 weeks pregnant since they tell you to count from the first day of your last period. It turns out that I was only 6 weeks pregnant. I was suppose to subtract 14 days(which is 2 weeks)
from that., because you have to get an estimate of two weeks for the egg to float down the fallupion tube to attach itself to the uterus. It did not make a big deal to me that I was only 6 weeks, but it does explain why 3 1/2 weeks ago, I kept getting negative on the Home pregnancy test.
My last period was almost 2 months ago so maybe it was too early to have the ultra sound. Some people say that you can detect the heart beat as early as 6 weeks. Did he detect a herat beat but no fetus. My doctor told me that I would have to wait till I was a least 7 1/2 weeks before he would do an ultra sound. So maybe it was just too early.
