Faint Line Bfp

Okay so I am in day 30 of my cycle and period has not come. Period usually comes around day 27,28. I just took a pregnancy test. No its not digital and I wish to god it were cause now its looks positive but its such a faint line that I didn´t see it right away. but its there. Yep, sure is. the second window on the hpt has a thin line. hard to see if you don´t know its there. I took the test around 5am in the morning. i had to go pee so i just went and took it. I also didn´t wait long enough for the test to work. I just peed on it and looked at the result. Definately think I should do another test next week if period doesn´t come. Doubt it will. No sign in sight. Anyways, They say you are supposed to wait five minutes for the hpt to work. I didn´t wait. I´d say less than two minutes is what I waited. Anyways, this morning I go downstairs to eat breakfast and I see the test. With the light of day is when I see a faint thin line in the second window. Could this be my bfp? I am not imagining a line there. Of that i am sure. But I guess I tested early...did I test early? Is day 30 too early to test? Should I have tested around 7am instead of 5am? Is this my bfp? they also say that even if the line is faint, if there is a second line, you are pregnant. Its what I´ve read. what do I do? go to the doc and get a pregnancy test done with doc? Even if I had had a super dark line in the second window, I´d stil confirm it. Anyways, what do you guys think? Faint line equals bfp?

Scrunchmuffin, You need to view the test within the time given on the instructions. It's not unknown for an evaporation line to appear on some tests later. That could be what you see now. The only way to be sure is to test again, but, if the line was thin it may be best to wait a few days to see if you get a line within the timeframe and if it is more obvious. That way you can be sure it isn't an evaporation line and will be closer to period time and most likely to get a correct result. The time of your test is fine. The main thing is that the urine has been in your system for a while, to help detect the HCG levels.

ive never heard of an evaporation line on the previous comment but all i know is with my daughter when i thought i was preg i took the $1 preg test and had one line. So threw away the test the next day i seen it in the trash and started to get confused bc there was the faintest line ever on it. Well i didnt catch it right away bc these test when the pee filled the paper strip inside it came off the paper pink so i hadnt let it dry. but i was preg. Welll you'll obviously have to confirm it, so You might as well take a test before you have to pay the doc to give you the same test

Just having a read around and it seems that scrunchmuffin wasn't pregnant. Hopefully you will get a better result next time round scrunchmuffin :-) nmommy, evaporations lines can occur after the test time window, which can give some women a test that looks positive later on. This is why they should be read in the correct timeframe to avoid confusion. I did a bit of reading online before taking a test myself and had no idea about them before that either.
