This is my first time posting in this kind of forum. I have read many responses and questions and I find that everyone on here is so sincere and helpful. Today I have decided that instead of looking at responses I would just speak of what is going on with me.
I am six days late for AF and I have been ttc for over a year. I have taken a ridiculous number of home tests which all come back negative and just got back from the doctor and had another devastating negative urine test. It is just so frustrating.
I have a friend who got pregnant using clomid that she had to order from a Canadian pharmacy because her insurance would not cover it. I decided to do the same thing and this was my first month taking it on days 3-7. 50 mg. Now I am worried that the clomid is the reason that my period is late, I am always regular and have never been more than a day later before. I am 38 and I know time is ticking. I just cant take the heartbreak of more and more negatives.
Any help or questions would be great.

Sorry ttc is not producing the desired results. At your age you can expect things to take a bit longer. The clomid is appropriate after a year of trying. There is not much point in testing more than once a week. If you can't get a positive when two weeks late you are probably lookin at another month of trying. You are not mentioning any typical early preg signs, so it is difficult to be encouraging. Have you looked into BBT temperature charting?

I have had some symptoms such as cramping and rather moody. Now I am fourteen days late and have a slight brown discharge. Did I ovulate late and am just now getting my period? Could this be an early miscarriage? I have taken hpts and one office urine test and all were negative, I have not taken a test for a few days and did another one this morning and again negative. I am just so frustrated and as hard as I try to not stress about this it is making me crazy. Thanks for the response Grandpa Viv.

Unusual fatigue is the most often reported early sign. One estimate I saw says at age 30 it takes on average 5 months to get pregnant while at 40 the averge is 20 months. The other bit of advice was to seek a fertility specialist sooner if you are older - the curve is working against you. That a__sumes finance is not a problem. I wonder what the advice is about taking the next round of clomid - wait for a period or take it on a preset schedule.
