What do you do when you are 28 w/o a child and no prospects for a husband or significant other, but you can't imagine not being a parent?

Give it time... 28 isn't too old as far as I'm concerned. There are many women who want to have their careers established before they have children, and they're in their mid-30's before that happens. So I think you have time. It will happen when it's supposed to, just be patient. It seems the right guy tends to come along when you aren't looking and when you least expect it.

I agree with April. Most women don't get married until their late 20's or early 30's these days. And even if they do, they don't have kids until after 30. I'm 29 and just starting to think about thinking about kids. Most of my friends are in the same place. Enjoy it. Prince Charming is out there waiting for you - go find him and enjoy every minute of it!
