First I want to thank you for taking time to read this. I need some information on how to get help and I am not sure on how to go about doing that. My situation is bad. I have 2 little boys ages 3 and 6 and I am currently 31 weeks pregnant. I left an abusive husband and have been trying to provide for us on my own. He was dishonorably discharged from the military because of the bad things he has done. I have had help from friends and family and have done odd jobs to pay the bills but with the cost of things these days the bills have stacked up. I only had the necessities i.e. phone, electric and rent. My phone is now shut off I have a disconnect notice for the electric and I am unsure how I am going to continue to pay rent. My current rent is $457. We live in a small 2 bedroom apt. I don't want to end up homeless with my children. I wouldn't be writing this but I don't know what else to do. I live in Ohio, if anyone knows of any programs please write me back. Thank you for your time. Jennifer

I dont know, but God Bless you.
You were right to leave an abusive relationship for you and your kids.
Good luck to you.

Have you contacted your local Aid to dependent children office, or the Adult and Family services dept. I don't know what they are called in Ohio. Most electric companies have energy a__sistance programs, try finding that out. Also, tell your doctor and his nurse about your situation, they may be able to put you in touch with a social worker who can find these things out for you. Social workers are not the bad people some think they are, they can be your best chance at getting the help you need. Also, have you thought of taking care of a working friend's child for a bit of cash? What about

Oops! I am having the worst time with my submit b___ton lately. anyhow, What about having a roomate...I know, no one really likes to get into that situation, but even temporarily until your baby is born? By the way, I should know better, ask your doctor and his or HER nurse...about resources. I would also suggest the local church? God Bless you kiddo, you have so much rough stuff going on.

Go to human services. You can get something called FIA that will help pay for your childrens daycare if they go and also get food stamps because I'm sure the grocery bill gets a bit pricey. They can also get you into a work program to help you find a steady, reliable job. Sometimes being a strong woman isn't easy but congratulations on your decesion to leave and I wish you the best.

I want to take the time to thank the women who responded to my question, there were a few things in the answers I have not tried yet. I greatly appreciate all the advice that is being given to me.
