To single mothers who have a child or children with fathers that have other children with other women. Do your children have a relationship with their half-siblings? If not, do you wan't them too? Does your child understand why they have a half sibling? Do they know the difference between a full-sibling and a half-sibling? I'm just curious. Thanks.

I think kids should know and love their half-siblings as if they were regular siblings.

if there not my kids i gave birth to, i don't care for them. my kids maybe related to their halfsiblings through their father but it's all about regular family.

My brother is my half-sibbling, we are still blood, there is no difference I love him the same as the rest of my brothers, he wasn't treated any differently.

the father of my son, and my twins on the way, has 3 other children, they are 13, 16 & 20 (my partner and i have split now), but my son still has a close relationship with his half-siblings, just as if they are his full blood siblings! I think it is important (if all the family gets along) for them to have a close bond!! half or full, they are still there blood siblings!!! I think that your child will be gratefull for it when they are older!

I have a half-sister. We have the same father and different mothers. We live really close so we talk to each other everyday. I love her to death and i'll do anything for her. When people ask me if i have any siblings, I Say i have a sister. I don't have to mention she's my half sister and we don't live togethor. I think of her as a regular sister anyone would have. My mother and her mother are friends and really close to each other. There's no problems between our families. When I was little my father told me I was going to have a little brother or sister. I didn't understand how that could be possible since he wasn't with my mother. He explained it to me and I still didn't understand how I could have a little brother or sister when my mother wasn't pregnant. Then as I got older I understood. Again i'll say I love my sister to death and i'll do anything for her. Children should have a relationship with their half-siblings.

Yes my kids have 8 other brothers and sisters from other women and they know all of them by name and relationship. In fact one of my ex's ex's came and stayed with me. Her daughter and my sons get on like regular brothers and sister.

I have two younger step-sisters and a younger half sister, not to mention an older brother, our familys dont get along, but we love each other to death, and when people ask me I tell them they're all my full-siblings after all, family is in the love not in the blood right?
