I am still early on in my pregnancy ( 15 weeks ) But I am extreamly nervous to hold my baby when the time comes. My sister is due in september and I am ever scared to hold hers...the last baby I have ever held was my sister and that was 17 years ago and I was 4 years old. My mom never let me hold her friends babies in fear that I would drop them..since I was young. And I never really had friends that had babies for me to hold them or anything. In highschool I took a parenting course and we had those electronic babies and my teacher told me a few times the reading said that I failed to use head support twice....that makes me really nervous because this is a real human being and not a robotic doll. Does it just come naturally for holding your baby?

It does come to you and it is so much different when the baby is yours. I was awkward at first, but you do sooo much holding and carry between changing, feeding, soothing etc, within a day you are completely comfortable. Try not to worry, noone knows what the heck their doing on the first! If you forget to hold the baby's neck, it won't break, it will bobble around and you will not forget after the first time.
