How does a person stay strong during this hard time esp when you know youre doing this alone.

one day at a time. thats all you can do...and sometimes if it has to be one minute at a time then so be it. if you look at it as 9 long months & a lifetime of care then it will become overwhelming very very quickly. one day at a time is all anyone can do.

Just remember that you're not alone in this. There's lots of women who are going through the same thing you are. And many find comfort when you know that you have others to turn to for advise or just need some encouragement to go on. Most of all keep yourself busy with friends and family. Don't worry hun.. it will get better.

i've been alone since the day I found out I was pregnant... it really sucked that I didn't have someone to share those special moments with but I tried not to think like that....i figured I had to muster up all the love I could because I didn't want my baby to feel or sense any unhappy feelings from me. He's now 18 months and i'm still single and I just take it one day at a time. I believe God is waiting to introduce me to the man who is meant to step into my life..in the mean time I have 2 friends who are single mothers who I spend time with when I'm feeling bored or lonely and it makes it easier.

KRC is right - you are on the brink of finding Mr. Right. I was single and alone until my son was 14 months old, then God sent me my soulmate and he's has since adopted my son and he is the only daddy my son has ever known - just stay focused on your baby - you will be ok! There are so many women who will be here to support you...

well we're here and know exactly what you're going through. All I know is that I cry when I feel like crying but also *remind* myself to think positively about 20 times a day :) Its really a matter of tricking yourself into being happy...but it works. And of course, the best way to take your mind off the distraction of being alone is talking to your growing baby and planning for his/her future. Your precious baby will be here before you know it. And you are all that little baby will need :)
