I have a great job and full medical. I could totally raise this child on my own. My boyfriend on the other hand is still in school and doesn't want a baby until he is out of college. And the big problem, I kind of told him that if I ever got pregnant I would have an abortion, but I don't want to have an abortion, I heard the baby's heart beat and this baby is REAL. But my boyfriend wont see it that way. Should I wait to tell him...(he thinks a baby is alive after 8 weeks of pregnancy). I am currently 6 weeks along. I hate lying to him but I don't want to tell him. What do I do????

WHAT!?! So you are pregnant and your bf doesn't know!?! And you hate lying to him about what, that a baby is alive before 8 weeks or that your baby is REAL!?! Did I read this all wrong?

You should tell him asap. Who cares if his stupid way of thinking is that a baby isn't alive til 8 weeks. You need to tell him that the baby IS alive (especially in your mind) and that you intend on keeping him/her regardless of his opinion or involvement. Tell him that you're sorry for misleading him about the abortion thing, but you've changed your mind about it. Seriously though, the sooner you tell him the better. Maybe have him come to your next doc appt with you if he cannot accept the baby as a living thing.
