I Left My Alcoholic Husband

My name is Chrissy. I am 30 weeks and single. I left my "husband" of 5 years about five months ago because he is an out of control alcoholic. I havent heard from him in about a month, and Im scared that he has decided to give up totally on this baby. I know he is already living with someone else, and I feel cheated that he wont be a father to this baby. Even though the girl he is with now has a son. I dont know what to do, should i forget him altogether, or try talking to him?

I'm afraid forgetting him isn't in the cards at this point, what you can do is take care of yourself and your baby, enjoy your pregnancy, and remember that he'll contact you, as it won't be long until he starts to realize what a mistake he's made. next, it's up to you what you're going to do when that happens. Do you want to consider holding on to the relationship, and suggest counseling for your marraige and his alcholism? It is a tough road, but it can work out sometimes. Whatever happens, you did the right thing by taking the step to leave a destructive relationship, and do the right thing for you and your baby! Bless you, good luck!
