Obligation To Tell The Guy

My boyfriend of over a year just broke up with me a few minutes ago. We have had a pretty rough relationship, but I never thought it would actually come to this. I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant, although I haven't gone to the doctor yet to confirm. I'm 18 years old, and am in no place in my life to have a child right now. I'm going to go in later this week and if I am really pregnant, will get the abortion as soon as possible. My question is if I have any obligation to tell him. For one, I don't want him to think this is a pathetic plea to get him back, and I also don't want him to try to talk me into having it. Anyway, thanks for any advice!

I'm sorry to hear of your predicament. It sounds as though the guy wasn't a keeper, anyway. I know of no legal requirement for you to inform him of an impending termination. An early decision on your part will mean an easier procedure with less possibility of complications. Try to ignore the hate mail that may follow. Good luck!

I really don't think that you should have an abortion. Because its not tghe baby's fault. If you can't take care of the baby then give it up for abdoption, there is a lot of people out there that can't have kids that would enjoy and give your baby a great life. And if he can take care of it then let him have it and just get joint custody of it. So that the both of you can enjoy it. But you need to talk it over with him cause it is his baby to. And then come up with some kind of agreement. I was in the same boat as you but I was really young, I was only 10 qhen i got pregnant. And i wanted to get and abortion. But the guy I was with didn't want me to. But neither of us could take care of it. But my cousin couldn't have kids so when I had the baby I gave it to her. Now 6 years later the baby is in good hands and having a good life to enjoy. so please rethink it over before you make you final dicision.

No you don't have to tell him. It'll be rough but if it's the right decision for you you'll get through it. Good luck, I hope your test comes back negative.

Why do you want to get an abortion? If the Goddess is giving you babies it means something! If you don't want it then just give it up for adoption. I had an abortion at 19 and it was absolutely the WORST thing I ever did. THE WORST. I regret it tremedously.For years I would cry everytime the due date would come around. Abortion si NOT to be treated lightly. They really really really treated it lightly in the clinics, but its not. The baby has a heart beat at 7 weeks. The baby is living in you. It's half of you. During and after my abortion I felt like parts of my soul had been sucked out of me. I don't recommend an abortion for ANYONE! Please reconsider.
