Hi everyone. The father of my child lives in a different state than myself and his family. He's in AL we are in TX. Does he have to come to Texas to take the DNA test? Is there a way that he could be swabbed in AL and my baby and I to go to a center and be swabbed in Texas?

phone the paternity testing center where you live, they will give you an accurate answer.

All 3 of you can do a DNA test, justn take a swab (in the mouth) and send it in. Blood can also be done that way, but much more expensive. Good luck!

of course sweetie! :) DNA swabs are taken all over! go to google, then look up "DNA Diagnostics Center" - thats a great company! Call them & they will explain EVERYTHING! They are wonderful! Smile!

LonelyTears I'm not exactly sure if you are doubting the paternity or him but if its him saying it's not his I would definately want to have the test done in the same place and if possible on the same day just to make sure it is him that shows up. Good luck!

paternity testing is a little more complex then sending some random person to do the test for you Tray. There is paper work and doc_ments you have to show prooving you are who you should be.

my friend ordered a kit from the internet. she lived in another city than the possible father. she had him send her a cotton swab with his dna to her, then she sent that in along with hers and babys to the people she ordered the kit from. he was the daddy....they looked too much alike.
