Pregnant And Husband Wants Divorce

My husband left me when I was 5 months pregnant. I'm now 8 1/2 months. He's now living with another woman. He has said from the beginning he will be a good father and be there every step of the way. The first month he was very supportive...coming to the house to walk the dogs, vacuum, dishes, laundry, going to the store, etc. But when they moved 10 minutes away into a house rather than 3 blocks away in her apartment and got 2 puppies, it's been a steady decline of support. He used to text or call most days to ask how I and the baby are doing...now it's once a week maybe. He attends all OB visits, birthing classes, daycare interviews, etc. and will be in the delivery room. I'm wondering if anyone else has gone through this and if when the baby was actually born if the father came out of this "fog" and was actually a good dad. I have every hope he will be and he'll come back to me after his stress-free fling with this bartender girlfriend, but others have told me not to hold my breath...anyone else go through this?

I have established a Yahoo group called 'PREGNANTNSINGLENLA' to put single pregnant women together with men who possess a strong s_xual attraction for pregnant woman. Check out my profile for Facebook page information on finding a man that will love and adore you during and after your pregnancy, or search 'Pregnant and Single' in Facebook. So, if you're still pregnant and single, that is purely your choice as you don't have to be. :-)

eeerockeee, It sounds like your newly undevoted ex husband needs a wake up call. The responsibility he lacks, the more he is starting his "new" life with his new partner. I know its so hard to go through but you should really set boundries for him. This is your baby also and you need to focus on you and what you want, not him. He left you when you need him the most. No matter what you do it wont ever change him back to the prince you fell in love with, trust me I have been there. Divorced while I was 6 months pregnant. My son is almost 3 and he has nothing at all to do with him. I wish you the best but make sure you keep your birthplan the way you want it. He does not have to be there. Someone more supportive should be there for you. Dont make regrets, make wonderful memories!!!
