Help! I had cancer when i was 20 and never thought i would have children, I have never even been pregnant before and tried in a previous relationship. I went out with a guy once and got pregnant, as i just found out. I stopped talking to him a week and a half after our encounter when my stepfather suddenly died in a plane crash. Then came the holidays. Now i am finding out i am pregnant by a man i was with only once and am 10 weeks along. How the h__l do i tell my mother who is grieving....let alone a total stranger whose last name i dont even know that im pregnant with his child?

It seems that you have decided to proceed with the pregnancy. You should be happy that you have conceived, especially when you thought it impossible. Your mother will be happy that she has magically been given the opportunity to focus on a life to come rather than a life pa__sed. If the stranger was in any way attractive, call and let him know you are over your breavement and are available. Then you will have to decide exactly how, when, and if to break the news. Maybe you will decide after a couple of dates that you would rather spend life without him. Maybe it could be in conversation as you prepare for another adventure in the sack. The variations are endless.

Congratulations. My sister-in-law also had cancer 10 years ago and she had a baby 5 months ago. He is beautiful and healthy. Such a joy for everyone in the family. Good luck and God Bless.
