STRANGE CHILD SUPPORT QUESTION

So Annoyed - November 9

Okay my question is this: My dad was on aid, and with me being a minor, I had to be on his case. I was required to get child support from him to get cash assistance. This was my dads case BTW. He pretty much made me go with it. Anyway it didn't bother me because we were still together so I would just go with him to spend it on our son. But after my dad got his cash assistance, they started paying it back to the state. My dad never gave me any money from it like he was supposed to so my boyfriend was paying 50$ a week for my dad to get drunk on, not to mention still buying our son what he needed out of pocket. My dad never provided for me like he was supposed to when he got that money. So my husband was paying the state back so my dad could get drunk. After I had my second som we got married and I moved in with him on July 1. The state was still taking child support out even though we did what we were supposed to to get it cancelled. It was still going to my dad's link card. We just not got it stopped after the end of October. I haven't even been on his case in 4 months! Has anyone else had this problem? Or a similiar one?

He at the beginning (was required to get child support from him to get cash a__sistance ) is referring to my then bf now husband.

Are you talking about your dad or your son's dad? This is very confusing.

In a nutshell... - November 11

My husband was paying child support to my dad for our son because I wasn't 18. We got married in May, yet the aid office kept taking the 50/week and sending it to MY DAD. Our son never lived with my dad after we moved. My husband was paying my dad child support for a kid who didn't even live with him. So basically they were giving my dad my husbands money for an extra 5 months for no reason other than the aid office wouldn't cancell the child support.

hi - November 12

I would add up what your dad owes you from the day you moved out. I would call the child support office and explain the situation. They may not do anything-you might have to take him to small claims court. You can file a claim against him for the amount due to you. I would tell your dad that that is your guys intention. Give him the easy way to pay you the money-if he says no, then I would file a claim for the money.
