I am 31 years old and I'm 6 weeks pregnant, and the father of the baby is my long time on again off again black boyfriend ( I'm white), my parents dont like him because he is not very responsible, and they are very catholic. I'm scared to tell them......what should I do???

If you intend to have the baby, you should tell them. You're 31 years old. Sounds like it's about time to make a grown up decision and not be worried about what other people think.

Wow! While Anne's response was kinda blunt, it's true. You are 31 years old; your parents should not intimidate you like it sounds like they do. Why would you mess around with a black man if you knew your parents had a problem with it and if you knew that you would be scared to tell them? ANY color man can be irresponsible, so maybe it IS a color issue. Just tell them the truth, and make sure to mention that you are human, you make mistakes like other humans of ALL ages, and that this child should not have to suffer for it. Tell them that you want their full love and support. After all, it would be terrible if yet another mixed baby was born with racist white grandparents. If they are not racist, GREAT! Then it shouldn't take them long to get over your mistake. And PLEASE make the father pay child support. There are TOO MANY unsupported children out there. You and your child deserve his help.

WHAT DO U WANT? thats the question, not what do your parents want. carrying your own flesh and blood is the most exiting thing that cud ever happen to u. the father might not be responsible, but soon he will have to face up to them. i wish that u make the best decision considering u and the baby
