I'm glad you took that the way I meant it and didn't get all mad at me. God can turn anyone's life around. Does your g/f claim to be a christian? It sounds like you're going about things the right way. If you don't mind my asking, why do you think you're a christian? I mean, what is your testimony? Not trying to sound like you're not going to Heaven because you made some very bad choices, I just want to know. When were you saved? What does your school believe doctrinally? Playing 20 questions! :)

E-rock was it you on the "help for new dad's forum "saying that your girlfriend posted on the single and pregnant site under 'Is it wrong to put father unknown" and her name was Sara Coco or something like that?.........I was just on that forum and the person that poste Is it wrong etc is called Lier and the person she was talking about she said was studying to be a doctor and yu said that we doing the priest thing or something like that???........I read quite a bit and it doesnt sound like you at all.....are yu sure that's your G/F???

*Kiersten* Honestly why would I get mad if you are a sister in Christ you have an obligation to keep other christians in check. Yes my ex claims to be Christian. 1st and fore most I have accepted Christ as my personal Lord and savior through word of mouth and by baptism. I've had a rough past but i was saved when i was 17 and i'm going to be turning 23 here soon. So by some i'm still a baby in the faith. But before i was Christian i was an atheist so i deal with alot of that doubt in my life still. Well only God has the descision wheather or not i'm going to heaven. Doctrinally since i live in Texas amongst the "BIble belt" we are closer to Baptist but more so we are Non-denominaitonal. *Dequom* Yes that was me on the help for new Dads. Ironically i've gotten more support on here than in that forum. And yes i'm sure b/c her middle name is coco ( and she uses Sarah Coco as a nick name) and she is very well versed and crazy smart. There is not a doubt in my mind. and it doesnt hurt that the time line matchs up perfectly with how far along she was when she made the post.

Hey, what did you mean by "through word of mouth and by baptism"? We can never earn our salvation. I don't know if that's how you meant it or if I just misunderstood, but we're saved when we take Jesus' free gift. He already paid the price for you friend on the cross. When we get baptised, we are showing the world that we have accepted God's gift of salvation. It's making it public and then living it. Sorry if I sound real preachy, but I want to make sure that you know that there is absolutely NOTHING that you can do to get to heaven other than say "Jesus, I know I'm a sinner and I know that you died to take my place. You've payed the price for my sins and I accept you as my Lord and Savior". Not that you have to use those words, but you get what I mean. I'm kind of surprised that You're the only one who's responded to my previous post. Not that I'm trying to start a debate or anything, but things often turn that way on here. I'm proud of you for trying to be the man God wants you to be. What Bible do you use? Personally, I use the KJV because all other versions that I've read leave BIG parts out. Or they use words that should be talking about Jesus and change them into the devil's nicknames. Thanks for writing back to me. I hope you stay in your Bible and continue to make things right! *ShaunaLeigh* If my calculations are correct then some time in June. *Kiersten* YOu asked why i believe i was a Christian and i gave the answer that i have confessed a belief in Jesus and have been baptized. I get this from Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. I use the NIV b/c the KJV was the first version to be put into english but is was translated from latin so it has alot of transcription errors also it was written in a dialect we no longer use. Since the Bible derives from Hebrew and Greek one word could stand for 5-10 different meanings depending on how it was used. But to get the best idea of what a pa__sage is saying i not only use no less than 4 translations when doing a study but countless commentaries. My youth minister was the first person to ever tell me about Christ I never really went to church growing up unless it was to sleep. I just went to please my parents. We started going to a new church when i was 16 and it was there that God slowly worked in my heart. I'm just trying to keep a positive att_tude about all this, by far this is the hardest thing I've dealt with. My prayer is that my ex will turn her heart around and her and i can get married like we talked about later on down the road after all the dust has settled.

*E-rock* Sorry I'm just now responding. Been busy. Ok, first of all, the KJV comes from the Received Text...Greek, not Latin.The KJV and the NKJV are based on the Received Text while the NIV and the NASB are based upon the critical text. Did you know that the NIV leaves out or seriously questions 45 verses? That there are 147 other verses with significant portions missing? Oh, my daycare will be here in a minute, so I have to go for now. But while you're doing all your research, grab "Touch Not he Unclean Thing" by David H. Sorenson. It goes through all sides of the "Bible debate" and is very helpful. I hope you take the time to really seek the truth. I'm not saying that you're not going to heaven because you don't read the KJV, but there are some important truths that you're missing out on! Write back! :)

Or in your obviously distasteful att_tude at least be a big enough person to tell me why I am an idiot. I'm not looking for a fight just clarification. In what manner have I said anything to you personally that would offend so? Logically I would have to have done something to you as to why you deem is appropriate to call me an idiot based upon the above posts.
