im two weeks from being due now and my boyfriend of one year desited to leave. its been 3 weeks now and still no word from him. the worst thing is i found out so many secrets about him cheating on me and doing all going out while i worked and was home alone crying. now im wondering if he will show up before the birth of his first daughter my biggest thing is should my baby have his name and if i deside not to can i still claim child support?

The baby does not need his name in order for you to get child support. And who cares if he shows up for the birth? Doesn't sound like he's too worried about it, why should you be? A child is a gift and missing out on the child will be his loss.

The baby SHOULD NOT have his name. He sounds like a louse! Anyway, baby's should have their mothers name. I mean, we women carry out children for 9 months and then give birth to them. giving them the fathers name is like selling what we have been through. And if you're not married to him his name won't even go on the birth certificate.

She should absolutly NOT have his last name and yes you CAN still sue him for child support, something I would do immediatly. If you can not afftord to do so on your own, go to your local welfare office adn they will be happy to help you and point you in the right direction.
