I live in Texas and I am pregnant. Who has obtained child support befor? The father ran off to hide like the chicken he is, I dont know his social security # or drivers liscense#. All I do know is his employer, where he has his mortgage and where he lives. Is that enough?

Should be, because his employer should have his ssn and they should send him something in the mail to fill out his info so you can have blood tests and if he fails to appear, he is going to be in big trouble.

Initially what would happen is that after your baby is born, you need to go down to the court house and there is usually a family law facilitator who can hook you up with an attorney for the state to initiate paternity papers. Once paternity has been established and a child support amount is computed, you should opt for his wages to get garnished for the amount he owes you per month. That is a better option than having him make payments direclty to you as he may seem to sometimes "forget" or not have enough money...blah blah, you get it? Anyways, congrats on your pregnancy!

BTW, since you know where he works and where he lives, that's all the info that you need. The attorney for the state can take care of getting him served and finding out his information.
