Unplanned Pregnancy Shock Today Help

Kelli - October 29

Here is my dilemma. I am 28 and currently left a job I was unhappy with-leaving my healthcare benefits behind. I am terrified and unprepared to have a baby right now but feel responsible and afraid to go the abortion route. This decision is tearing me up inside. My logical side says to get an abortion and my other side says not too. I am very distraught about this pregnancy and only found out this morning. I need good advice because I am scared. Thanks, Kelli

I know how you feel. I'm 23.. and a week after I quit my job I found out I was pregnant. Thank God for Medicaid! Call up your local county a__sistance office and see if you qualify for it. I know in PA if you make under $1900 a month you qualify (because technically you count as 2 people). As far as I know, they don't care whether you just quit your job or not.. .because it's cheaper for the state to make sure you get proper prenatal care so they don't have to pay for a baby with problems (due to lack of proper care) later. You can also see about cash a__sistance and WIC. I'm on both of those as well. I've also been training to be a medical transcriptionist so I can work-at-home with my daughter. If that might be something you're interested in doing.. let me know and I'll tell you more about it (there's certain schools you need to go to in order to get the best jobs... I've done my research). I think that if you get an abortion you will regret it. Logic should be thrown out the window when it comes to babies who are already on their way... haha... because further down the road when you think about the baby you could've had.. that's going to be allll about emotion. Do you have family that can help you? Also... baby showers are GREAT for getting baby stuff you need... so is ebay and yard sales! Trust me... you can do this. By the way, my daughter is 3 1/2 months old now... and everything I went through while I was pregnant (father is a complete a__s) has been worth it. Just hearing her laugh and seeing her smile... I LOVE IT. She looks at me with those pretty eyes and I can just feel how much she loves me.. it's so awesome. Wait till you have that feeling. I can pretty much guarantee you won't regret it.
