I'm new to the site. I have a 2 year old that had a perinatal stroke some time around birth. She was diagnosed at 3 days when she started having seizures. Anyone else out there been through the same?

hi my son alex who is now 15mths had a stroke whilst still in the womb around 28+ weeks, he started having fits at 6.5 mths.
after he had mri and eeg they diagnosed infantile spasms and cystic encelphlamalasia in english it means epilepsy and stroke.
he has only rolled over back to front twice in a year and can't sit unaided or stand.
he is currently on vigabatrin and nitrzepam which are not working so his doc is going to change his meds on tuesday but don't know what.
you are not on your own there are loads like us out there.
have you got dla and carers allowence for your dd?
we had tests done to make sure it wasn't our fault and the results came back all clear.
we are now ttc again it will be our second together but my 4th and my hubby's 4th.
i have altogether 3 boys at the moment aged 16yrs 19yrs and 15mths and dh has 2 boys from previous marriage aged 15yrs and 13yrs.
we are hoping for a girl next time as there are only boys on both sides of our family.
