Im 16 and i just took a hpt and found out i was pregnant,, me and my boyfirend agreed to keep it, but we dont know how to tell our parents, neither set of parents are going to be happy, his mum is very strick and dosnt know were having s_x and my parents know we are but are going to be v mad about me being pregnent, we used a condom but it split, and i was on the pill but i was sick so i had to come off it for a week, i really dont know how to tell them, please someone HELP!!!!!!!!!!!1

If your parents know you are s_xually active, then they will not be surprised when you tell them. If they are like most parents, after the shock wears off they will be happy about the prospect of a grandchild. How about starting with "mom, how reliable is the pill?" Good luck!

Now that's funny...."how reliable is the pill...?" First if her mom doesn't even know she is having s_x, I think that's a foolish into to the topic of being pregnant! Also if you don't take the pill obviously it is not reliable at all. I think this girl should try to present to her mom that she is mature and responsible and really for the challenge of parenthood! I would suggest that you come up with some strategies as to how you plan to take care of yourself and the baby, what your bf will do (finances and emotional support). The more "prepared" you can be--or at least make it sound--hopefully the more better received this shocking news will be. Good luck!!!

lunamoo, she says her parents know she is having s_x, and presumably arranged for her to be on the pill. In some ways her parents have some responsibility for the situation.
