MY BOYFRIEND'S MOM SAID THAT I SHOULDN'T BE TAKING BATHS BECAUSE THE WATER WILL GO UP MY VAG (SRY IF ITS TMI) AND HURT THE BABY. I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYWHERE THAT TAKING BATHS DURING PREGNANCY IS HARMFUL, BUT I'D LIKE MORE OPINIONS. ALSO, I'VE BEEN HAVING A LITTLE SHORTNESS OF BREATH WHEN I LAY DOWN. ANY REASON FOR THAT? ALSO...LMAO, I'VE BEEN HAVING ON AND OFF PELVIC PAIN. IS IT BECAUSE THE BABY DROPPED? ONE MORE. WHEN I HAD MY LAST APPT., MY DOCTOR PUT THAT THE BABY WAS CEPHALIC, (HEAD DWN?) BUT B4 SHE CHECKED ME OUT. HOW COULD SHE POSSIBLY KNOW THAT WITHOUT CHECKING MY BELLY??

ok well no the water cant go up there and hurt the baby, but to hot of baths can start contractions. So if you are close enough to your due date thats fine to have baths, i used to haev them all the time when i was almost done cuz it just felt nice, be careful getting out tho, sometimes i would get stuck HAHAHA you could be having shortness of breath because your baby has pushed all the organs up and make presure on your lungs, try moveing to another position like your side and try not to lay on your back as much as possible. and yes pelvic pain usually means that the babys head is down there, and with the head down they can tell by pushing on your stomache or even looking inside the v____a, she probably did that, she would at least measure you and then she would be able to feel as well so i hope that helped a little

Just make sure your baths aren't too hot. Luke warm would be best. Water going inside your v____a wouldn't harm the baby. Shortness of breath and rapid heartrate is normal during pregnancy (though I'm not sure why.. I had it too) Pelvic pain could mean your baby is just resting against your pelvic bones... Your doctor may have been able to tell your baby is dropped into position just by the way you walk.. If you have that pregnancy waddle that is. (I'm sorry if that's not what you mean, the medical definition of cephalic escapes me at the moment) You're doing fine!

They say not to take baths in late pregnancy because if your water were to break while in the tub it would expose your baby to bacteria. Though the odds of that are slim. My OB actually recomends them for my seperated pelvis, as long as the water isnt hot hot because it raises the babys body temperature and stresses him/her out.

Just wanted to through in that you really aren't supposed to be laying on your back because it can cut off blood flow. The shortness of breath usually comes in from this and/or the fact that the baby is pushing organs out of the way and your lungs are being cramped. It sucks-trust me, I know! I'm a real shorty and had a major breathing problem the last month of my pregnancy.
Also you may not notice you have the pregnancy waddle until it gets to the point where you feel so uncomfortable that you are moving a certain way to avoid certain feeling and the baby is actually feeling to heavy, but you could be right before that stage. At that point people notice it but your body is equipped and adjusted to walking that way, hence why you still don't experience the balance problems a lot of people experience with their new huge bellies. And your pelvic pain could be the position of the baby and/or the stress of the weight of the baby on your pelvis and it's finally getting to a point of annoyance. It also could be it's natural spreading preparation for labor.
