Uncertainty Needs Clarity

Well, here it is. My periods are always quite regular, every twenty-nine days to be precise. Very rarely is it off by a day at most. My last period was May 12th, which should have resulted in a period this past Tuesday, June 10th. It still has yet to make it's appearance which is quite nerve wracking. I had protected s_x on Sunday, June 1st and unprotected s_x on Friday, June 6th. Both dates were out of my likely ovulation range but I still don't know what on Earth I was thinking. Heat of the moment, a very dumb moment, I suppose. Expect the unexpected, right? The past few days I have been sick after eating, nausea on and off all day for the most part. I know all I can really do is take a test, which I plan to do sometime this week once I stop procrastinating. I keep hoping that my period is just going to be there every time I use the bathroom but to no avail. I really have no idea what I am going to do at this point. I apologize for the lengthy text. I appreciate your time. ~Meygan

You need to take a pregnancy test.

If those are the only times you've had s_x this cycle, then it is unlikely that you're pregnant. Still, taking a test will help put your mind at ease especially since worry is the more likely culprit for your late period.

I would love to attribute my late period to stress and worry. For the first time in nearly a year I am under no real stress. Things finally settled down three weeks ago. I've moved out of my sister's house to a wonderful place in Chicago, I resigned from a minimum wage position and am now working towards the position of a pharmacy tech. I plan to pick up a test while I'm out and about tomorrow. I can't say that I'm looking forward to taking it though I know I must. I suppose we'll see what happens. ~Meygan~

I really have no idea when I would have ovulated. I've always gone by the average fourteen days which would have put my ovulation date on May 28th. I'm nauseous and I feel bloated though I don't appear to be bloated for the most part. I'm anxious yet terrified to take a test. I have mixed feeling about the whole thing. It's something of a war. Part of me you be so thrilled to have a baby yet the other half of me would dread it. There really is no option, I have to take a test tomorrow. I'm scared, I really am. ~Meygan~
