Um JT, sorry but no. You have NO IDEA what you're getting yourself into either. And you wont until the day baby comes home.

Dear, babysitting is in no way shape or form ANYTHING like having your own. Even taking care of someone elses kids is not indicative of what child raising will be like. Every child is unique, so really no one is truly ready, however it is good to be prepared. A lot of us don't plan these things or are not in our "right" mind when they happen. But you should find something that makes you happy. Taking care of a baby who won't even love you will likely just make it worse. You may not miss your old life, but you'll likely not have much fun in your new one. You're still young. Dang girl, have some fun! (By fun I mean good clean fun). Find out what you want in your life, goals and what not. It will be what's best for your baby whenever you have one. Kay? Just some friendly advice, really, I know most teens need to do something before they'll wake up and see when advice was right. But I guess it's good to give it anyway right?

I didn't even know what I was getting myself into the first day Ellie was born... Actually I learn more and more every day what I got myself into. When she's a teenager I'm sure I'll finally understand and be like "What the hell was I THINKING?!" hahaha :P
Nobody ever knows what a baby is like until they have one. No one knows what having a toddler is like until their babies grow up, no one knows what having a teenager is like etc, etc. You live, you learn. You remain ignorant the whole time and the best thing you can do is warn those who think they know. Even though they surely won't listen.
