RE The Pill And Ovulating Help GrandpaViv

Hello again all. It's been a long time! I just want you to know that my daughter is great. She's 10 months old and doing great. 26lb and 31 inches. She does not get her height from her me lol. Anyway, since she was 10.5lbs when she was born and did a lot of damage on the way out, I'm not in a big hurry to have another. I'm on the pill, but I don't take it at the same time every day and I will admit I do miss quite a few of them some months. My question is this. This month, I have only missed one pill at the beginning to let my period last a little longer and two days ago, I had cramps for about an hour and then had a lot of EWCM which is funny because I never had that when we were TTC. I did a good ol cervix check and it was low and opened and I was wondering if that's supposed to happen while on the pill. If not, then I may be in trouble lol. Anyway, any help would be much appreciated!

Good to see you back! That was a heroic effort - wow!The only thing I know to use CP for is ovualtion. It should be checked in the same position and same time of day, and not when aroused. It is not an indication of pregnancy. Does your pill regime give you a regular bleed, and are you late already?

I don't think I'm pregnant. I was talking about during what I feel was ovulation. I take Ortho Low, so yes, I do have a monthly period. I'm not late or anything, but I was wondering if the cervix will still drop down and open as if I were not on the pill and ovulating. Thanks!

I can't find any information about how the cervix behaves while on the pill. Surely it depends somewhat on the kind of pill and whether in your body it functions by preventing ovulation or preventing implantation. Anyway, the ovulation position is SHOW (Soft, High, Open, Wet) so Open Low does not fit the standard pattern. Keep track for a couple of months and let us know. GL!
