it probably isnt that much i dont know are taxes so called pay for so many things but i still pay towards it!...........yea that sounds like a good idea i mean all i think is what ig while i was lying there with know one seeing to me.what if my waters broke ect that could of been stopped if they monitored me better and stopped the contractions at the rigt time! instead of after they had gone

i guarantee you don't pay over 10% for your healthcare. i know the general tax is somewhere around 10% but that's in australia, but it all goes to the same place. i believe healthcare was somewhere around 2%? something like that, but i doubt it's over 10. that would be silly of the govt. but say for example's sake you pay 2% of 1500 every 2 weeks. i know you probably make more but 2% of 1500 is $30 which equals $720 a year. my husband pays over $4000 per year for health insurance that doesn't even cover us close to 100% like yours does and it doesn't cover our eyes or our teeth. yes, you pay, but you practically pay nothing comparatively. btw i'm glad your baby's fine. start doing the whole tv pregnant woman routine if you have to go back there. they tend to listen when the woman is rolling around on the floor screaming, even if you don't feel that bad. >=)

teddy you sa " I think doctors should be paid based on how quickly they see their patients and treat them and treat them right." lol i coulnd agree more but i think that what would be even better is if nurses just simply get paid more then doctors considering they do all the work.

Yeah when I went to the hospital the FIRST time for bleeding, the male nurse grabbed me right away didn't bother anything. The second time I went in they had me sit down, took in 3 other patients who weren't emergency room people, they were walk ins with a dang fever ffs. I hate this hospital. At the hospital my daughter was born at they brought you (no matter how far along) immediately up to L&D! AND they treated you like a human AND they cared. You know my ER doctor didn't even TELL me that my infection could cause preterm labor? When I told my DR and gave him the info she was pretty peeved. (There are 4 doctors in my practice, 3 woman 1 male. I like them all thankfully lol and they all LOVE Addy.) But that's not the point. They expressed their obvious dislike with L&D. lol. "What? They didn't tell you to stay on bed rest? Didn't tell you how bad of a shape your cervix is in? Didn't tell you that you could go into premature labor??!?! You could have given birth!!" She was pretty .. unhappy lol. She said next time I have a problem to call her ahead of time and they will notify ER and tell them what to do and will get down there (that's why I saw my doctor when I was dilating and cramping not that long ago.)

addy your hospital doesnt have a L&D triage? All the hospitals out here have it. so then if somthing is wrong with your pregnancy you just go stright up to triage and they immediately check you out and hook you up to the monitors ect ect

tess they dont really tell you anythign here when they done my bloodpressure ect they didnt tell me anything i just heard one of the docs say she,s something or other 6 at its worst, i have no idea what that means they seem to to all of these things poke around then walk away! they didnt even tell me i was in labour until they admitted me to freya and i was like tbh the contractions are stopping they were just like BH so i kind of sat there not knowing anything and another hting that annoyed me was that the doc was poking my belly as they do and felt here move apparently persoanlly i didnt feel anything and i think he thouight i was lying! i have a good story about are hospitals! my 9year old brother was playing in the garden a few months back and came in screaming that something was up his nose and he could feel it moving! then he had a mega bad nose bleed so my mum took him to A&E and when they finally seen to him they told my mum nothing was up his nose and indicated that he was just lying because there was nothing up tehre so he was lying about feeling anything move, well a couple of hours later at home he was b__wing his nose as he could still feel something and he came running in saying look waht fell out of my nose! it was a gra__s hopper!!! a ma__sive one!! so mu mum took him back to hospital and they were like oh so wer,nt lying! how they didnt see that gra__shopper lodged up his nose lol! and the nose bleed had come from the gra__shoppers feet when i was 5 i broke my arm i fell off a swing or something at hospital they wouldnt xray me as they though i was exaderating and that there was nothing wrong with my arm! so a week later when i was still in agony my mum took me back and demanded an xray which proved i had not only broke a bone in my wrist but cracked the bone further up which was probably caused by arm not beinf treated in the first place!

DB - NOT this d__n hospital. My previous one did. This one, nah. You have to wait till a bed clears upstairs and just ... god I don't even want to go into it. If they make it too hard on me I'm going to CHOSE to leave. I can't stand that hospital!!!! But yeah Angel, it's terrible here too.

angelmonkey - October 26

tess do you choose what hospital you get to give birth at?

AddysMummy - October 26

Yeah, I get to chose, but I don't at the same time.. because the closest hospital to me is the c___p one. Otherwise I'd have to drive an hour to get to the better one. Which I am reallly thinking about doing.

amanda17 - October 26

Well... I mean... every person's body is different and experiences things in different ways.... Maybe I'm just ignorant, but I don't see the obvious point where she would be lying? Personally I was terrified of going through something like that. I'm the clumsiest person in the world and I ALWAYS fall down. I had nightmares of falling face first and having my belly squashed flat. I'd wake up crying... My point being that she could be lying, but even more so she could be telling the truth. I just think that if there's a chance at something being the truth, don't say anything negative about it... Because if it turns out to be true, it's really hurtful. Instead just don't say anything if you believe she's lying. People aren't fakes so no one will comment them, they are looking for any kind of attention. It's a win-win to just not respond.

amanda17 - October 27

He has a point, sure... but it's a load of bologna :) We're hormonal women with innocent lives in our hands. I thought I was a worry wart before I got pregnant... Oh now wrong I was :P

angelmonkey - October 27

thats what i say i mean i see where he,s coming from but when you have a life inside of you you cant help but hope everything goes ok and worry........he doesnt get it sometimes though and to that my favorite saying is "no uterus no opinion!" lmao i heard it on friends an duse it all the time lol

AddysMummy - October 27

Not saying I do or don't, just saying it's a pretty terrible thing if she did and if she didn't then that's absolutely wonderful.

Teddyfinch - October 27

hmm "no uterus no opinion". sounds kinda s_xist. that baby wasn't made as_xually, so i disagree with that quote.

angelmonkey - October 27

no teddy they dont have an opinion when they say oh love im sure you can put your own socks on! uuhhhh!! noo!!! do you know what it feels like to do that!u um no they can just imagine! they have no opinion on how it feels to have a baby in your utuers as they dont have one
