34 Weeks And Having Contractions

i went to labor and delivery yesterday and they told me i was having contractions,,,, they gave me 2 shot to try and stop the contractions and another for the baby so that if he did come early his lungs would be more developed..... when they checked my cervix they said it was still closed, but when they were checking my cervix it seemed like she had to really reach in there to get at it..... when i got home i started felling them again... and this morning also..... my stomache gets really tight and then stops and dose it again..... so dose this mean my cervix may start to open soon? thanks in advance!!!

i'm so happy to hear someone else is going through this too! This is my second baby and I'm 35 weeks. I have been having painful contractions for a week now and the baby is sooo low that my hips and thigh bone ache. I think this is our body getting ready, it's just really intense for me this baby. What did they give you at the hospital to stop contractions.
