38 W Exam Question Pls Help

ok so i am 38 weeks today and had an app. the doc did an exam and said i was sofened and dialtaed about a figure tip. so i guess i have to questions first of all the less seriouse one: am i right in thinking that a figure tip is about 1 cm? and the more seriouse one: when i got home a lil more then an hr after my exam i went pee and i had some bloodie show and i was wondering if after an exam ( my first one since the beging) is it normal to have a lil bloody show? it didnt stay I had it for about 3 or 4 hrs and now i have a lil bit of a brownish show but no more bloody show. so ok yea that was long so is it normal to have bloody show after an exam?

I was a fingertip dilated on 37 week appointment ...and i was wonderin the same thing so I asked my doctor and he said that fingertip is 1 cm...then when he can put the fingertip in and move it around a lil that is 2cm...and two fingers is 3 cms...does that help? As for the bloody show I think that is perfectly normal...your blood vessels and stuff down there are sensitve i think too so that could have been it also. If your to worried bout it you should ask thats what I do. GOOD LUCK!

Yes, I think a fingertip is about 1cm. My dr. also gave me a pad and said I could spot for the next 24 hours. I had brown after the first exam for most of that first day and then it disappeared, so yep it's normal.

thanks everyone. it stoped last night and i had no show at all. but this morning the brownish show was back and kinda heavey i guess ill wait another day before i start worring to much. thanks alot everyone..

Yeah, my dr. said if it continued for longer than 24 hours to call the office, so i'd definitely keep an eye on it (especially if it is heavier). She told me if it turned red at all that was NOT normal.

thanks once again laidies. it was bloodie yesterday the first time i went pee but it has stayed a brownish show now. and it stops and starts. it hasnt been very heavie but i think if i still have it when i wake up in the morning then i will call my doc just to make sure. but thanks so much for all the help!!!
