Wow! You should give birth anytime now! I was 4 cm with my second for about two weeks. I finally had my waters broke on my due date because I was just too anxious, and I went into labor right away. Try to relax and let it happen on its own. Your baby will be here soon!

I have been 4 cm for a few days with this pregnancy. Since I am 37 weeks, my Dr. is going to induce me next week if I haven't delivered over the weekend. The same thing happened with my daughter 2 1/2 years ago. I was 5 cm at 39 weeks & my Dr. (a different one) had to induce me. Just think, you can get your epidural right away if you so choose. You're half way there!

I am 4cm dilated as I write and have been that way for almost a week, I have 10 days to go into labor myself, otherwise, I'll be induced. It's frustrating to know that I'm 4cm and cannot progress any furthur!

How far along are all of you, and how far were you when you started to dilate? Could you tell a definate change in the amount of pressure and/or BH contractions when you were actually dilating??

I RECENTLY HAD A BABY AND I WAS 1 CM WHEN I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL AND THEN 2 CM 30 MIN LATER ,THEY ENDED ADMITTING ME AND THEN 14 HRS LATER I WAS BARELY AT 4 CM SO THEY INDUCED ME AND BOKE MY WATER AND SHE CAME PAINFULLY ABOUT 2 HRS LATER.MOST LIKELY IF YOU GO TO THE HOSPITAL THEY WILL INDUCE YOU AND BABY WILL BE COMING VERY SOON

Hello. Sept 15th around 3:30 am I had contractions back to back, and my hubby took me to the hospital, and was sent home after several hours, contractions just stopped. I'm 2-3 cm and this is my 4th child, with them once i had these back to back contractions I went into full labor, my water broke with my first 2 and then my boy (6 yrs ago), they had to break the water. I have not had to wait ever after dilating and its been 6 days now, well this morning I started to have more contractions and this was real short after an hour and stopped. I just want it to happen and lets be done already. I'm havin my tubes tied after this and I never had an epidural and alittle scared about it, but when the pain is coming on then I should have my mind off of it. I wonder how long its going to be also, I know that my DR. said, if I have not went into labor by Sept 26th, then I will be induced, I'm due Oct.10th. Angel

I have been in labor for a week since being dilated 4 cm. Contractions have been continuous for the week, about 10-15 minutes apart. Hoping it will come soon. Good luck.

Hi, I am 38 weeks and 5 days. I didn't know so many people sat around dialated to 4 cm without being in labor. I have been at 4 cm for a week...and NOTHING! I am feeling discouraged. This is my second and I know it will happen eventually, but my legs are cramping so badly that I can't walk by the end of the day. I just want to go to the hospital now and ask if the will admit me! It's like waiting until you can't take it anymore...UNCLE! I can't take it anymore.

I am 17 and this is my first child, I am 39 weeks and 3 days found out yesterday i was dialated to a 4 and my back and legs have been killing me. How much longer will this last?

I am 34 almost 35 weeks pregnant and I am already dialated to almost 4cm. This is my second child. I went into premature labor at almost 7months with my first so I have been taking it easy. I was shocked to know that I am dialated to almost 4cm. On the 27th of December I was having terrible pressure in my pelvic area and pains in my lower back but I just blew it off because I thought maybe it was because my baby was laying low. I am suppose to wait at least 2 weeks before they allow me to deliver my baby..Has anyone else been through this?

Well im 2-3 cm dielted an  my doc said she going to induce me next week im due oct 21
