Hi Danielle,
I got those all the time when I was pregnant with my dd but this pregnancy I don't get them very often. The key is to drink lots of water and make sure your blood in your legs are circulating properly through out the day. I was horrible about drinking water with my dd but with this pregnancy I drink lots of water. I try to just stay hydrated. I also am an at home mom so it can be easy to get stuck sitting down alot so I try to sit in the recliner when I do sit and put up my lets. Avoid crossing your legs too.

got them a lot around 24 weeks. best thing is drink lots o water and stretch your calves right before you go to bed. lean into the wall and push with ur arms until u feel it strech your calves. hold for about 30 seconds per leg. it will help. promise.

HI! I know I dont beling here quite yet (I am 22 weeks) But I have been getting terrible calf cramps. Only when I am asleep though - I wake up and try bending my foot upwards to make it go away but most of the time I have to get out of bed and dance around the bedroom a bit until it eases. I cant tell you how much i needed another excuse to get out of bed in the middle night what with all the weeing and dehydration. Bring it on

Also I wanted to add that when you get a Cramp dont let it sit there and wait for it to go away. I have found that I start to get them when I am laying down and stretch my legs out with my toes pointed. When I feel it coming haha I bend my feet up and it like an L if that makes sense? Anyways, it seems to keep them at bay. Also I have heard from alot of ladies to eat bananas. Also like Mahagen said drink water. Lots of water. haha and I think it was in What to Expect When Expecting that I read the same thing that MGN suggested. All very good ideas. GL and hopefully you can keep them away. They suck.

I started getting these cramps early in the second trimester. I was told you can also get them if you lack calcium. Once I began taking calcium supplements regularly the pain stopped. I still get cramps oca__sionally but it's usually only if I haven't drank milk for a few days in addition to taking the calcium supplements.

Me me me me...I get the WORST leg cramps. I actually spoke to my doctor today, and she said I'm probably getting too much calcium, or not enough. So I'm guessing I'm drinking too much milk because I've been craving chocolate milk like crazy!!
