Hello everyone I am new to this site. It seems like a really cool place with lots of help and ideas! Anyway, I am 36 weeks pregnant and dilated to a one as of yesterday. Today I have been having terrible pain in my tailbone and the feeling as though every couple of hours someone is sqeezing my bladder for a few seconds then it goes away. I dont know if she has dropped but I haven't had heartburn for 2 days and I can breathe better. So my question is, could this mean the end is near? The pain in my tailbone is constant....sitting or walking.

Usually it's a good sign that the baby has dropped when you can breathe a bit better. The consequence of that is that you do feel like you need to go to the toilet a lot more. I'm 2 days off from my due date and my baby dropped about the same time as you and so far the cheeky thing is still in here. They're good signs, but they don't necessarily mean that it'll happen soon - just that your body is preparing. Sometimes it can all happen just before labour starts, other times it can still be 4 weeks away (as in my case). Good luck :-)

I have to agree with Lala. All these are great signs but no guarantee. I'm one day after my due date adn the baby has been low for quite a while and I've been dilated 1cam for two weeks...sooo, be happy but patient :)
