Dating During The 2nd Trimester

I found out I was pregnant at 17wks. I had a u/s done to determine my due date, and by the time I got the u/s I was already 22wks along. My doc has told me that the due date could be off 2wks either way. BUT at every fundal height measurement I have been measuring right on track. I know that dating during the 2nd tri can be inaccurate. Has anyone actually gotten a dating u/s in the 2nd tri and end up finding out at the end of the pregnancy that it was wrong? or anyone heard any stories/info about this?

DDT - forgive me when I read your post I thought you were asking about going out on dates! LOL ....to answer your questions I had a dating ultrasound in my last pregnancy and it was off by 2 weeks....My due date was June 19th and my Ultrasound said like June 5th but my son wasn't born until June 17th and although he was 9 pounds 4 oz he was right on the money at 40 weeks according to my last menstral period...but I have heard before that 2 tri u/s for dating can be way off.

i agree. I have been told that the earlier u/s's are the most accurate of them all.
