Determining The Sex At The Nuchal Translucency Scan

I am going in for the NT scan next week (I'm 12 weeks) and I have been told that this particular doc is pretty successful indetermining s_x this early. I just wanted to know your experiences, am I getting excited for no reason?

Hi, when I had my NT scan I asked the u/s tech if she could tell and she said "well, we can look --for fun--because they really can't tell with any certainty at that point. So she said it looked like a girl! I went on to another scan at 14 weeks and a different tech said the same and then at my 20 week scan, it was indeed a girl! I think they can definitely make a good guess, they just won't tell you for sure until 18+ weeks I believe.

Thank you Stefkay, I didn't want to get my hopes up, but they said it was a good possibility. Really hoping for a boy this time, but of course will be very happy & blessed with a healthy baby regardless of the s_x. Congrats on your little girl!
