Hey ladies, I am due August 9th but I haven't lost my mucus plug or dropped or anything? Does this mean I will probably go overdue or does it not necessarily indicate anything? I am just curious thats all..... Thanks - any info appreciated! :)

i don't think it means anything, i am due aug 1st, and i never even noticed losing my plug. Everyone is different, at your next appointment ask you doc what they think.

I am due this Saturday and neither of those things has happened to me yet.... I think I am going to go way over. My prenatal instructor said some people lose it gradually over time and never notice (the plug)..... hopefully that includes us both.

Oh goodness, you're way ahead of yourself..... sometimes the baby won't drop until the days before you go into labor, usually it's a gradual settling of the babe lower and lower, indicated by the gradual increase in pressure and sometimes some nerve pain. Personally, I don't recall losing my mucas plug when i had my son, either i didnt notice it or it didnt happen until actual labor started.... be patient, everyone is different and the timing varies substantially. Remember to trust that your body knows what it's doing, and babies are like toast, when they're done, they'll pop :)

With my first, I lost the plug less than two days before I went into labor. The doctor never indicated any dilation in the last appointment either. It just happened fast and furious I suppose. My water broke when I was almost fully dilated. It all happened two days before my due date. So, basically no ahead of time warning for me! It might end up the same for you! Good luck!

hi there....no its no indication you will go overdue as the other ladies have said. I lose my plug all in one go just as i went into labor with my first (i went into labor on my due date) and also my baby never dropped/engaged- he did this as my contractions started...
i know it's a hard waiting game but the plug means nothing!
good luck with your birth
