I went for my GD test yesterday and they also did a u/s. The tech mentioned to the doc that my fluid level was high which could be a sign of GD. She said that all my fluid levels before had been fine and that this could mean nothing. My questions are has anyone had high aminoic (sp) levels and had GD or not had GD. And if I do have GD what will that mean?

hmmm, Im really not sure... my doc didnt check my fluid levels I just had to drink that "juice" and have blood drawn. and my levels from my one hour test came back elevated so I had to take the three hour test which came back normal. just wait for the results of the test but dont freak out if they come back elevated, it happens a lot... you'll have to take the three hour test (which sucks) but that will tell you if you have GD or not. good luck hon!!

oh, and the last part of your question... if you do have GD you'll have to carry around a blood testing kit and probably some insulin just like a regular diabetic would. you will also have to be careful about what you eat... your doctor will let you know all about it. also, Its common for women with GD to be induced early because their babies tend to get really big, but you may not have to. thats all I can really think of right now... *shrug* hope it helps.
