I am in love with the hotslings(well the way they look).....has anyone used one before-if so pros and cons before i order mine. thanks!

Oh wow, those are cute ones. I might just have to buy myself one if I don't like the ring sling my sister gets as my 'baby's here' gift as she calls it. I've never used one but I do know they have amazing benefits for mom and baby such as reducing the chance of SIDS, promoting bonding, decreasing post partum depression, keeping baby happy and tear-free :D, and because they aren't spending time cying/trying to soothe themselves they become more alert and it helps their development because they are able to spend more time looking around and learning from their environment.

I saw some in the store a while back and looked at one that had been taken out of the package. I was surprised, the fabric didn't stretch at all! I talked to my sister about it, because she bought one a while back. She said most babies find it uncomfortable since it kind of folds them in a weird position. However, tolerant babies seem to like them just fine, and have no problem dozing off in them. So she gave hers to her neighbor who uses it all the time now. I guess it just depends on the baby. Sorry I couldn't be more help because I've never used one myself.

I like the ring slings the best myself. Maya wraps are a Godsend. The hotslings are definitely cuter but I love the adjustability of the maya wraps.

my sister got me a "peanut shell" sling - it seems adorable. it has a lot of cool features including a cell phone tiny pocket! google it and see if it may work for you - and depending on where you live - there are always a ton of diffferent kinds of slings on craigslist DOT org --- and some are used once only etc.

I have a hot sling and I absolutely love it. They can wear them till they are 35 lbs, and even when they are newborns, so it lasts a while. It is the most comfortable one I have tried because I tried a few different ones. The other feature I love is that it is basically just fabric... no large pieces involved... so you can fold it up in the diaper bag and it doesnt take up hardly any space. I really enjoy mine, and get asked where I got it everytime I wear it so I guess other moms are interested in them too.Hope this helps some, and Good luck!
