I'm 30 weeks pregnancy and I started feeling horrible last Thursday and its just progressively gotten worse. I have a horrible cough, congestion, a fever that's been between 99.5-100.7 and I'm just achy all over. I've read that the flu is basically not dangerous to the fetus as long as your fever doesn't reach 102. But I'm really worried about the coughing. I've had some pretty intense coughing fits and my lower abdominal muscles are really really sore. Could all this coughing hurt my baby?

Tootsie, I would just recommend taking tylenol and drinking lots and lots of water. It wouldn't hurt to take sudafed for your cough and congestion. I'm no doctor but I have had to somewhat experience what your going through just no fever. Being pregnant makes things so much harder to take care of since your so limited to what can be put in the body. The biggest thing you will want to fit in is rest and lots of sleep will help too. GL and always remember you can call your ob if you get too concerned about your condition or baby.
