Dont get mad at me but they might be right. I had what they called a 24-48 hr bug that lasted over 2 weeks. It was that Norwalk virus. I felt fine except for the constant loose stools that made me shake and feel extremely light headed. Do not take immodium though. The doc told me that it will make it stay in your body longer. I had to tough it out and stay near a bathroom for a couple weeks. I was 7 weeks pregnant when I got it and the cramps were horribly unimaginable. I was so scared I was going to lose the baby but it was my bowels contracting not my uterus. Plus he gave me an anti spasm med that is safe for preg to help my poor tummy.

I'll mention that...according to my research and readign I've donein the last few days... I'm asking about partial placental abruption...listeria, gall stones, everything. I had a uterine tear earlier in my pregnancy...maybe it is acting up now, but I'm not bleeding bcause the blood is trapped behind my placenta...? Dunno, but I'll ask. I've read that partial placental abruption doesn't have to have actual bleeding. I jsut have no clue whats going on... I jsut know that Painful BH and these loose stools aren't normal. I haven't had hard stool for almost a week now. Thanks everyone for your support and input on here. :-) Hmmm... I also wonder if stress can play a part in all this? I am stressed out more lately....

how much water are you drinking? My dr. told me that when i seem to get more BH drink lots of water and for me it always calms them down. If you have loose stools you may be getting dehydrated and that is one of the first things that will cause more BH. I started drinking lots of water daily and my BH died down considerably and have stayed that way. I don't drink anything but water and milk now so that might help. Don't drink caffeine if you can help it too. ( I drink at least 64 oz per day, sometimes more like 100)

I drink about 60 oz or more a day...sometimes less...but I'll watch and make sure I keep my water intake up. Thx!

i know if its bh, drinking cold water and laying on your left side will stop them and if it doesnt then its not bh. my girfriends ob told her that when she was getting horrible bh and she was right. as for the diarrhea, my other gf had that as well the week before she went into labor. i dont know how far along you are but hopefully it is just a nasty nasty bug. remember, youre immune system is lower b/c youre pregnant. youre going to have a harder time shaking something that for non pregnant people would be a breeze.

hey gals-thought I'd update you...My doc appt went well last Thursday. He said my white blood cell count was up a little so my body was probably fighting an infection. That coupled with my recent stress of moving, and Dh and I not living togehter since he has a new job 2 hrs away...probably contributed to everything. I haven't had the BH or loose stool since Wednesday last week....so hopefully thats the last time I see all that and its not toexemia or listeria. Thanks for lending a listening ear and for everyones advice!!!
