Hey everybody. I had my doc appt on thurs and my midwife talked to the obstetrician and they have decided that the baby is fine for now. He is thriving just fine and everything else is normal. His kidneys just have more fluid in them than normal. So when is is born they will u/s him to double check but they think it is just an immature kidney problem. So anyways, thats it. Other than that I am doing ok, just getting really tired again and having back problems. I cannot wait for him to be here.

Hello ladies... Well like i mentioned before Iam new to the forum. Iam 7months and Iam having a boy. This is my first pregnancy so everything is so new to me. Iam from Ontario California and currently on summer vacation. I teach 5th grade out here. So far everything is great with my pregnancy only worried that I've gained about 30 pounds already and the dr. tells me to slow down. Other than that Iam doing good.

Welcome a board, Amy! I'm 7 months also and I've gained 25 pounds so far - so don't feel so bad : ) I'm surprised your Doc has already told you to slow down on the weight gain. Average is about 25-35 pounds. I gained 55 pounds with my daughter and this time around I'm pregnant with a little boy - YAY! Jen - Yes, I know what you mean. It doesn't happen every day... maybe every few days where I feel dampness and I know it's not urine and it's definitely not a large amount. Some days there is more fluid than others, though... I was debating if I should call the Doc or just wait for my next appt. My next appt is on the 13th, so I may just hang for the next week or so till I see her. I also have Periodontis disease... It started with my first pregnancy. I have one tooth that needs to be extracted and I should have had this surgery done a month ago but I'm soooooooo scared! I've been in so much pain the last few days... I must have gotten food stuck in-between my teeth and it seems to have gotten infected. I've had a tooth extracted before and my heart rate just drops in half and I've been so close to fainiting... I don't want to put my baby at risk. My OB/GYNE approved the surgery, but I'm still scared! Anyone have dental surgery while pregnant??

Mari we crossed paths! I meant to tell you the leaking this is normal. I really wouldn't be concerned about it and I don't think it is to early. I was just talking to a gal that started leaking at 20 weeks...i thought that was crazy early. I never leaked with my son though so who knows. Speaking of who is planning on nursing?

That's rea__suring!! Yes, I definitely plan on nursing!! I wanted to nurse with my daughter but she just wouldn't latch on. I'm really hoping this little guy does. There are so many benefits to nursing - first and foremost it's the very best for the baby! Secondly, it's cheaper, it's efficient and the baby weight comes off quicker. I understand it's not for everyone, however.
