I know that this is something that is on EVERYONE's mind right now...haha....I am having a really hard time finding an attractive but practical gown and robe set to take to the hospital. Has anyone out there found one on-line? If so, will you pass on the website?
Thanks, and happy babies to all! :)

You can always try Motherhood.com and try Kohls department store. Just in case you didn't know, the hospital will provide you with a nursing/regular gown and I have always brought my own robe and slippers. After you have a baby you usually bleed alot so be prepared to possibly get blood on your gown. Happy searching!!

Yeah Mahagen is right-- think blood when you choose a color. I'd personally go with black.

i wasnt even thinking about that...i bought 2 gowns that you pull over the head. (they b___ton very low cause i intend to try and b___stfeed) but they are comfy. They were on clearance at walmart...i paid like $8 for each. so if they ruin its not that big of deal...i just know the hospital gowns leave the b___t out. I also bought some cheap walmart painties (88 cents a pair) cause i didnt want to ruin any good ones...i heard they give you painties too though...anyways...hope that helped

I just wanted to let you all know that the hospital gowns for moms who just had a baby/b___stfeeding are actual gowns and not open in the back. They usually have 2 slits in the front where you can whip out your b___by and b___stfeed or they have ones that are not like that and you can unsnap the sleeves when you need to b___stfeed if you are going to do that. Also the underwear they give you to wear are not really underwear, LOL they are a gauze net underwear shaped like high cut panties. They actually are nice for at least the first day when you are bleeding heavy and don't want to ruin your undies. They are just more mobile to move in and won't ride up your toosh. I hope that gives everyone an idea of what will be available but then again remember all hospitals are different and I know someone mentioned on a forum that their hospital doesn't provide diapers, I thought what the heck that is insane. GL and happy shopping!!

Ladies I would recommend getting some puppy pads to lay on at night after a first few days home so that you don't have to worry about washing sheets if you bleed a little heavy.....that is if your hospital doesn't send you home with any....they are the same things - I have some a friend gave me after her tummy tuck I am so glad I saved them.

Cors1wfe...thats a good suggestion. I have some of those...my aunt gave them to me. and i bought some big bloomer like panties lol. But they were really cheap so if they ruinj i wont be upset. they were 88 cents a pair...i bought 3. i may go back and get 2 more...5 seems like a better # lol. What are you ladies wearing home from hospital?? ive heard people say that they didnt even wont to put on anything but gown but i bought a sweatsuit that i packed...??

yes - the hospital gowns work perfect as they make them open in front for b___stfeeding - and then bring a nice robe and slippers or slipper socks. I didn't bother getting a gown since I didn't want to ruin it - and I wouldn't wear it long anyways. We were in the hospital for such a short time too..also, the big panties are a good idea - ones that you don't mind ruining. I never had any accidents with bleeding myself, but it can happen. Make sure you take home all the giganto pads they give you in the hospital! They are great the first day or two. :) As for coming home - wear something comfy because you will be limping around all achey and have a giant pad on your b___t. Something that will make it not so obvious is nice. I had my dd at the end of the summer and it was HOT so I had a tank top and a pair of old navy 3/4 length stretch pants things - not quite sure what they are called but they aren't tight but sort of wide legged. Don't know if I'll fit in them this year since I'm not gaining as much weight, but sweats would be perfectly fine for me!
