So I went to the Dr today and she felt my belly and said that the baby weighs about 6 lbs. Does anyone know if it is really possible for them to tell just by feeling your belly? She also told me I was dialted to a one. So my qestion is what does that mean exactly? Is that normal to be a one at this point? Thanks! I am 36 weeks 2 days.

Yes, it's normal to be at 1 cm. dialated at this point. Some people walk around at 3 or 4 cm dialated for weeks before going into labor. And Yes, an experienced doctor or midwife can guess the weight of the baby by feeling through your belly, sometimes more accurately than an ultrasound.
