I first discovered this website 5 years ago when I was pregnant with my son. This was a happening place with tons of posters, and it there was a real sense of community. I only stopped visiting the site when I my son got older, and I got too busy chasing a toddler to be a part of the online family I found here. Now I’ve come back, because I’m expecting again, and I’m wondering, what happened?
There doesn’t seem to be as many active people on here, and with the exception of the tons of “am-I-pregnant-please-help!” type of posts, there is very little interaction. I keep coming back each day, looking for new content, and there isn’t any, and posts I’ve made go unanswered. Have sites like Facebook and Myspace taken over? I mean, are pregnant women talking to their friends about their pregnant problems instead? Is there another site I should be visiting? There are a few frequent posters out there, and I’m happy and thankful for the few who take the time and effort to try and post answers. I guess I just wish there was more of that going on.
I’m going to post this on a couple of different forums, in an effort to get different responses. Please, take minute, tell me what you think about all of this, recommend other internet pregnancy communities. Your responses will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

please pa__s this along!i have picked up two trojan horses from this site in 20 seconds! it happens everytime i come on here which is ashame because i loved this site! I notified the site owner and they said they were AWARE of viruses on the site and are trying to fix it but they never did anything for weeks now!!! I have the e-mail if you don't believe me, us pregant ladies are being taken advantage of! They are tracking us by what we write, look at and who else knows! They could be tracking personal info such as credit cards and anything else too. i am a network administator ladies so i know what i am talking about and this site is corrupt and they admit it. please if you would like to see the e-mail they wrote bacl too aknowledging this write to me!!! i am very upset :(

That could explain why there is very little interaction here, all the preggo ladies are staying away!
I'm sad to hear this, but not surprised. When I first wanted to sign up again, it took forever, there was some stupid problem. The servers were too busy to give me a name, or some c___p like that. I literally tried for two weeks to join! But then when I did, it was Deadsville.
I posted this on other boards, and you are only the third person to reply. Back in 2005, this week long post would have gotten to the bottom of the postings in a day, there was so much activity.
I've been hanging out at in-gender.com lately. Yes, it's about gender selection, gender disappointment (GD) but the boards are hopping, and they aren't all about GD. There are boards about b___stfeeding, child care, all kinds of cool stuff, and people interact a lot more than here.
I was sad too, because this site was so valuable to me for my last pregnancy, but I hope you can find another board. I wish we could find a way to share each other's info, without posting it here. Can you think of a way, because you seem like a nice person, it would be a shame to lose contact with you because this board is lame.
Take care friend, and thanks for the tip. I won't log in at home, because I have a PC, (no wonder the d__n thing has been running slow) but we have Macs at work, so I will keep checking in from work.
