Hey again...i hear you on the pain in the pelvis/groin/cervix/everywhere down there!!! feels like a broken pelvic bone lol...ive had it now for 3 weeks and now my belly has dropped so much it folds over my bikini line and i can feel a hard shoulder there or something! I just wish this baby would come out! My original due date was today, and all the u/s measured to today, altho we know i conceived 10 days later (temp charted), hence my due date was moved to 8th March. I really hope he comes early ..ie: now!!!!

Good morning girls. I'm am sooo happy today: I started my maternity leave today!! It felt soo nice to have time to fix my dd a nice hot breakfast and get her to school without me rushing around also. I have really missed being a stay-at-home mom, and am delighted to get back to it. Now I have a list as long as my arm of little things to do over the next few days before Reece joins us. Only 7 days until his birth (unless he decides to come earlier). Altho s_x is really the last thing on my mind as far as enjoyment goes, dh and i had had a go of it for the past 2 nights since I've been feeling better hoping to encourage his exit, but he apparently has other plans. My next appt is tomorrow afternoon. I'm anxious (as usual) to see what progress I've made since being 3cm last Thurs. I still am not having ANY sign of regular or progressive contractions. It sure sounds like several of us are getting close...who'll be next??? ROBYN- Justin sounds so much like my Julia was. VERY quiet and laid back, content to take in the world around her. She has continued that way as a child. She's veru introspective, conciderate, and calm. She's what I call a "cautious risk-taker", she likes to observe what's going on around her first, weigh the outcomes etc, and then if she's comfy she jumps in both feet first. It makes me very comfortable know she has both sides to her. :) Glad to hear Anthony is as much help and in love as much as you'd hoped. I would expect much less jealousy from older siblings than from those who are closer in age just b/c they have a better grasp on human emotions and what babies are like. Sounds ideal. :)

'Mornin', everyone. Well, it's the day before my induction. I am determined to relax today. I have the bad habit of planning to relax, and then finding a billion little things that "have" to be done. Yesterday, I wore myself out more than intended with walking the dog, watering plants and changing my f-ing flat tire. Today, it's yoga and a bath - everything else can wait til after the baby's born. Dh and I are going out to a nice dinner this evening. Everyone keeps asking me, "aren't you so excited?" And I am, but I think over the past few days, my excitement has kind of numbed into disbelief - I can't really wrap my brain around the fact that Jack is going to be here tomorrow! - April

Yeah, April it is just a day away and possibly hours away!!! How exciting is that to know Jack will be here in your arms soon. I am jealous but happy for you. I think we all would love to have our lo's in our arms now but they come when the time is right.

Get good rest April! Maybe some cat naps during the day today. Tomorrow is going to be so special! I just got back from my ap and my ob tells me the measurements have been the same for the past 3 weeks so a sonogram for tomorrow morning. She is happy that I'm at 3cm and labor will go more smoothly. I might suggest a induction since she wants me to go before the edd.. I'm due march 6th. I had this measurement problem with Alexis towards the end pregnancy so I'm not worried as Hannah is moving about a lot. Chris- sorry for your pain, I'm right there with ya on that one. Sleeping and turning over is painful, it feels like a bad bruise and broken bone. K2 maybe you have dilated, I had constant contractions for 2-3 hours in the middle of the night, and got check the next day with an extra cm dilated! Good Luck with your ap. Erica

Oh good lord I just wrote out this huge long post. Tell me it didn't get deleted!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!! Okay condensed update. Congratulations Robyn on a wonderful baby, congrats April on induction tomorrow, thanks for the heads-up about the one-minute contractions, K2 sounds like it won't be long for you, baby shower was good, got my pack-n-play and way more clothes than I need. Chris I feel you on the pains. I've dropped too and my belly rests on my thighs when I sit and I have the folded-over the bikini line thing going on too. Birthing cla__s was alright, I didn't get much out of it but DH liked going so I guess it's all good. I'm sure I'm forgetting something but I'm mad that my post totally went away. ARGH! Anyway I have a ton to do to catch up on the housework since we've been unbelievably busy. Enjoy your day of rest April!! So exciting. Oh Mahagen, e-mail me at ilbagel at gmail dot com and I'll mail you a bunch of pics.

Whew I had a lot of catching up to do! Busy busy this weekend and yesterday and DH left my laptop at our church and he was working on his web development homework on our desktop so I had no way to get on here! Anyway thanks for the input on the one minute rule of contractions. Kristin were your friends having their first baby and dilating that fast? My midwife says she does it differently for second time and beyond moms but women consistently come in 4-5 centimeters dilated. Once they have been regular and lasting 45 seconds though I am heading to my mom's house since she lives 10 minutes away from the center and I can get there a lot more quickly than from home. Of course by that time they may be lasting a minute, who knows. Chris I hear you on the belly folding over the bikini line-- mine started that last week and everybody is saying I've dropped. And I feel like I can feel her head grinding my pelvis. It hurts so bad! My cervix is in great pain sometimes. She needs to move up or move out! K2, I'm somewhat sorry you're still pregnant but it doesn't sound like it'll be long. And tomorrow for you April! Yikes! Robyn congratulations on getting a great baby! My midwife is a proponent of feeding on-demand which sounds fine to me. I don't think I'd be able to just listen to my little one cry out of hunger and ignore it to make her wait. Anyway I haven't had any good contractions in a couple days or I'm not noticing them as much. I do feel those cervix pains though. Oh baby shower yeah I had that this weekend. Man where does time go? Anyway someone made me a baby sling which is super nice and has this ultra soft, almost stretchy but breathable fabric. Someone also gave me a maya wrap sling and DVD. I got tons more clothes and onesies, which I totally didn't need. This girl is going to have to change clothes 5 times a day to go through all these onesies but they're all SOOO cute I can't decide which ones to take back and exchange. My hostesses pitched in and bought my pack-n-play which is absolutely adorable. One of my best friends got me this huge bag full of the "essential accessories" like the best diaper rash cream she's ever found (her daughter is in need of a liver transplant and all the medications she's on gives her terrible diaper rashes all the time), teething tablets, her favorite baby bath and lotion, diapers, alcohol-free wipes, all sorts of stuff like that. I didn't get anything off my registry but my mom said her gifts are on the way and they're off my registry. Like she needed to get me a gift since she and my stepdad are buying the nursery furniture. Oh well can't complain. So now I am down to needing to get a baby gate, the crib bedding (procrastinator I know), a sheet for the pack-n-play, and a few miscellaneous items. Next paycheck I am going to go get the bedding and the sheet. After that I have another baby shower so I'll hold off and see what happens with that one.

Hi guys, Mahagen thanx for the new thread. I'm having a good day today and finally found the last items I needed for my hospital bag. Talk about procrastinator, I can't believe it's taken me this long to pack a bag. I don't think Jr. has dropped that much, because I only get the pelvic grinding pain every once in a while and I still feel him in my ribs sometimes. Well my due date is only in 3 weeks so I guess that's ok. I have my first internal exam tomorrow. I'm excited to see if there is any dilation, but also nervous because I think I may be very sensitive and it would be very painful...All you that have already had those exams, how are they for you? Good luck April, I am so excited for you, sending you lots of positive thoughts for your induction tomorrow. Good luck with your appointment, K2...let us know...

SARAH- Sounds like you have some very special family and friends. Aren't showers fun? APRIL- GL tomorrow at your induction. Anxius to hear Jack's story when you get home. ASTRA- I have to behonest about the internal exams, they are a bit uncomfortable. Especially the further dialted you become. I've had 3 now and each one has gotten more "vigorous" and painful. I can't say it hurts, but it's not the easiest. Of course compared to labor, everything is easy. It's just cool to get an update on your progress. It lasts less than a minute, so youy can toloerate anyting that long. lol Well my Mom and I just went for a nice walk and now I'm going to go lie down b/f I have to go get Julia from school.

Hey chicas. APRIL: TOMORROW.. how awesome is that??? Youre going to have such a fabulous day, its one of those days that will be embedded in your brain forever and ever. I hope that everything goes wonderful and that the entire thing is smooth. ERICA: Hmmm.. Im glad that your having an u/s to check on the growth of that baby of yours. Sounds strange that the measurements havent changed. Sounds like youll be having your baby very very very soon. I believe Ill have this little guy next week, and he wont be here before that. Hopefully things go well tomorrow. K2: Sounds lik youre having an interesting time over there. Hopefully that baby of yours decides to come on out rather then sitting in there causing a ruckus. CHRIS: I so know what you feel like.. my back feels as though its about to snap and every movement I make in bed is just NOT FUN and then when I get up in the morning.. it takes me a good 5 minutes to be able to stand straight, and then the first 50 to 100 steps of my day are pain.. pure pain.. I swear it feels like my pelvis is smashed into a million pieces. QUESTION FOR YOU ALL.. has any one else developed an itch??? The palms of my hands my feet and my legs are horribly itchy on and off. I dont have a rash.. but last night when I got into the bath it all came to a head.. I was sooooooo itchy.. I started itching and then i looked around me to see all of my skin floating around me. DISGUSTING!!! Im doing everything I can not to itch myself a part.. but its getting hard. SARAH: Yes all the women I spoke of were first time moms, one of them had their baby in 6 hours from the first contraction to the time that they were holding their baby, another took 8 hours and another beat them both and it only took her 4hours and 37 minutes. Just be careful.. and keep an eye on those contractions.. perhaps as you due date gets closer you might consider staying with your mom?? Glad you had a fun shower btw. MELISSA: WOOHOO on maternity leave.. make sure you take the time to relax.. things are happening quickly for you!! Anyway chiccas im gonna go get some dinner going. talk to you all soon. ~Kristin~

Sarah it sound like you got a lot of stuff from your babyshower. OMG I hear ya about the onesies and how many your lo has now. My dd was the same and I still never got to get her in some of her clothes because she had so much. I kind of over did it when I went garage saleing one day, yikes. When my dd was born it was just starting to get cold so I just put onsies under everything including her pajamas. I too need to still get the bedding for my new baby son who will be here soon. I figured that he will be in his ba__sinett for a little bit then I will definitely need that bedding. I wish I could us my dd bedding but we got girl bedding with b___terflies and flowers so that won't work. We tried to get neutral bedding but my mother in law insisted on girl bedding which I can't complain. Anyways I am feeling the same way as everyone else with the whole dropped belly which it happend to me back at 27 weeks or so and it folding over my bikini line, feels like I always have the poor baby's head grinding on my tailbone/pelvis area and the constant switching of my hips that are just floating, ugh. My dh who is just so sweet gave me a kiss this morning before he left like he usually does and I mentioned that it hurt so bad, he got me a tylenol and water on his own. I took it and it really helped alot. It eased off some of the pain. Thanks Sarah for the pics, I'm on my way to look at them!! I'm so excited!!!
