Hi ladies! I havent posted in a while, its been such a crazy winter here!! Congrats Robyn How exciting and I hope everything is going good!! And now April today! I cant believe the time has come for all these babies. I dont know about you guys but it really went by so fast!!! I am ready for it to be over though :) I went to see my midwife today and I'm 2cm and just about 100% effaced. Which was such good news! I never hit 2 cm until 41 weeks with my first 2 and I'm 38 weeks today. They also set me up to be induced 3/6 if it doesnt happen before then. I'll keep checking in, I love to hear everyones birth stories!! Sadie

Hey all. I had my last OB appt today. I am 3cm still, but 100% effaced. She said she can feel his head he is so low in my pelvis. Crazy! I hd a strange thing happen today. I went to our vet to pay a bill and while I was there one of the technicians asked if she could have my placenta when I give birth. Of course I was a bit surprised at the question. Wasn't expecting that at all. When I asked for what purpose she explained that she trains dogs that gointo disaster areas to search for dead bodies. They prefer to use placentas for training b/c they have a much more pleasant idea behind them than using a dead person's foot or hand. Never would have thought of that. So dh and I agreed that we'd rather it be put to good use than just thrown away (we really had no plans for it afterward anyway LOL). So she will come to the hospital after I deliver and pick it up. Bon voyage! I asked my OB about it today, and she was surprised they had never been approached for this before. She said they should ask all OBs since all they do is throw them away if the couple doesn't want it for their own reasons. Very interesting, huh? Anyway... now I'm hoping to avoid having a leap day baby this Friday. I think it would be stink to be born on leap day. What kid wants to have a birthday every 4 years (techinically speaking of course)?

Just had my 37 week appointment...all is good, but no talk of baby yet. Before when I was having bp issues, we were talking about going early. Now that that has settled down, I'll be lucky to see him by my due date!!! Oh well, I guess it's better to be patient than to have problems and force him out before he's ready. Based on his weight at my u/s (7-5), I'm gonna have a 8-9 lber!!!! I'm just ready to be done...it's gone by so fast until this point. I guess he'll be here soon enough though. So, how's everyone else?? Any news from April yet?? Maybe someone's getting ready for the leap year baby as we speak!!!! Hope everyone is having a good day.

Hi Ladies, I was just wondering how everyone was doing and then I saw Val post. I was amazed theire wasn't any chating going on yet this morning. Are we all sleepy heads or what? Val I hear ya about being patient but at the same time being anxious to have our lo's in our arms. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about April too. If you have let us know. I want to have a leap year baby soooooo bad but I don't think its going to happen. My dh and I were just talking about that yesterday. Well good morning all and lets get to chatting. Morning Val!!

mahagen - February 28

By the way I was curious of where everyone is located because I know some of our time is way different. I live in Pennsylvania on the eastcoast of the US. How bout you? That way I will know when everyone might be on or the busiest time to chat!

Rainbowbrite - February 28

Val it sounded like you kind of got your hopes up to be induced so i'm sorry if you feel let down about that! That is sucky! BUT- that is also a good thing that your bp is going back down or closer to normal! As that could have been a great hindurance in your labor/delivery! Besides you don't got much longer either.. so that would also be kind of a helping factor in waiting! When is your due date??? Mahagen- it has been rather quiet in here the last few days!!! It makes me wonder where everyone has gone and then my mind wonders and i start to thinking what if they are all in labor right now!!!! April waiting to hear any update on you!!!! I myself am having lots of pelvic pain and a pinched nerve feeling in my b___tox!!! I also have been having bh the last few days where my stomache just gets really tight... but nothing with any consistancy, darn it!

val_jo - February 28

I'm in northern West Virginia.

Rainbowbrite - February 28

I am in the midwest! Central Standard time.

val_jo - February 28

Rainbow--I will be 40 weeks on the 19th, but my "official" due date isn't until the 22nd. A day at work is about all I can stand...I'm just ready. Especially since I am now full term.

Rainbowbrite - February 28

Does it scare you to think about him possibly being a 9lb baby? I have to share my sob story last night definate pregnant monent... but me and my sweetheart were in the kitchen and i was having a BH and i wanted him to feel how tight my belly got... well i actually had on a tight shirt and it was hugging my belly - mind you i've been pretty small in the pregnant looking belly area.. well she is really starting to grow in there and my belly really is getting bigger... and last night he was like "you're big" and i know after he said it he got this look on his face like i am an idiot, but then i went and got in the shower and i just balled my eyes out.. i felt so upset and had hurt feelings and then he came into the bathroom and of course i was not about to let him see me naked now... and he noticed my face was all red from crying and then spent the next 25 minutes trying to tell me that i actually look like i have a pregnant belly and how the baby really is growin in there and he didn't mean i was fat or i'm big all over just now you can really tell i have a pregnant looking belly... and i know he didn't mean to offend me or upset me because he felt so terrible he couldn't even eat dinner for like 2 hrs after that because he knew he upset me and i know he had been worried because i was always so small and he was actually worried that she was gonna be so small but now she is really growing in there and we can tell but you know as a pregnant woman and gaining weight and being insecure and all that being told you're big don't help! And i felt so bad for him too because i could see the look on his face and how bad he felt... i guess it just caught me offgard that he said it and it is the first time i've heard that in my pregnancy... (although i can tell myself my belly is growing) LOL it is funny now but it sure wasn't last night.

Rainbowbrite - February 28

We are due right around the same time!!! My due date is March 21.

Astra - February 28

Oh, Kristin, poor you. I know I feel just as sensitive as you, people are now telling me, wow you look pregnant, and I'm thinking, Duh I've got 3 weeks to go, I should look pregnant. I have my guy well trained, whenever I tell him I feel big or unatractive, he just says but you look so cute (not that I believe him but it does make me feel a little better). At this point I feel so huge and lumpy I think I would have had a good weep too! I'm sorry you were so upset but glad to hear you see the humor in it today... I am suffering through this yucky cold. Last night my face and head hurt so bad I gave up and took a tylenol which helped tons. I know they are ok in pregnancy, but I guess I'm just the type to be neurotic about everything I put into my body... Today I'm feeling slightly better but staying on the couch in the hopes for a quick recovery. I had my doc appointment yesterday and my first internal which was frankly quite miserable and I'm not dilated at all! In my doc's words, 'nothing is happening". He is so sweet through, he said that we could skip an internal next week because it's not necessary and it was clearly not easy for me. He was so nice trying to distract me asking me about if someone would come help me after the birth and rea__suring me that even if I felt anxious during delivery (which is my hubbies concern) that they would just take care of me and the baby and everything would be fine, what a sweet guy, it was just the thing to say. Val, I think if I knew I was having a big baby I would feel like you too, my guy is estimated kind of on the small but normal side so I'm hoping he stays in there till the end to gain a little more weight... Mahagen, I'm in Cambridge, MA , East coast(cold and yucky weather!) hope you are all feeling well today. Can't wait to hear from April...

Question - February 28

Well girls, I'M HAVING A C-SECTION AT 10am Leap Day( Tomorrow) Didn't think Hannah is coming on Leap Day. I'm so nervous, as i have never had this done before. Going to L&D at 7am est. Holy Stromboli. Just a heads up, yesterdays u/s show Hannah rotated into breech position and is weighing 7lbs 8oz.. I can't believe she squirreled her head to my ribcage. Keep everyone informed next week on the birth story. Erica

I bet you're nervous and freaking out!!! but it will be cool! And a leap year baby! that will be exciting as well!!! One of a kind type of thing!!! =) good luck and we can't wait to see pics!!! how does Hannah's big sister feel knowing that her sister is coming?? that is exciting news!!!!

cayingo - February 28

ERICA- What a little stinker you've got there. Head up at the last minute. lol Makes you wonder how she even managed that manuver at this tight point, huh? GL tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you. DH and I thought last night might have been our night. I started having contractions that were about 10 minutes apart and lasting 45 sec-1min. This went on for almost 2 hours. I went to bed and only had cramping (PMS like) and alas, I'm still here this morning. BTW, I am in Texas (just northwest of San Antonio). Thankfully we having gorgeous weather, if you don't mind the windiness).
