Hey Gals, We're home from the hospital. I will read up on everyone's progress later. Wanted to give you Baby Ford's birth story - the quick version for now. I woke up early Tuesday am with bloody show & a nice back ache. Started timing contractions at about 7am. I had been leaking a lot of fluid on Sunday & Monday and my dr had told me to monitor it. It too started getting heavier on Tuesday am so at about 9:30am my dr wanted me to come in to let her check me. When I got there, she said my fore bag of water had broken and then my real bag broke right there on the exam table!! So of course, we went straight to the hospital and by 10:30am I was hooked up to Pitocin. By about 1pm I was already dialated to a 4 so I got my epidural!! But then my 8pm, I had not made any more progress past a 5-6cm. So finally at 12:30am I was advised by the on call dr that my baby was face up and I probably should just go ahead & have a c section. So Baby Ford was born at 1:07am. He weighed 7lb 1oz & is perfect!! He is so cute. I will try to get some picture sent later today. And will check in more with you gals later.

Congratulations Brandy! Welcome to baby Ford. What a story and a journey. So happy for you that you are home and enjoying your baby.

ROBYN - February 29

BRANDY WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! Cannot wait to see the pics. All these babies being born we arent March babies we are Feb babies LOL. Cupids Cuties LOL. So Brandy wound up having a c-section is that what i understood? ERICA - thinking of you and i already know you are holding Hannah cant wait to hear the story and see pics. My little man had a rough nite he seems to have caught a little cold my DH had one in the hospital last week and though he wore a mask and gloves looking like Michael Jackson it didnt work and then i caught it so of course now the baby catches it. He was up ALOT last night and fussy which i knew immediately wasnt like him. Everytime we fed him a bottle it was just pouring out of his mouth like he was trying to breath thru his mouth and drink at the same time. We took him to the pediatrician this morning and they said being a newborn theres really nothing they can do except for us to use the nasal aspirator and give him some Little Noses spray to clear his pa__sage out so the aspirator seems to have been working he drank his bottle with nothing coming out the sides like he could breath better. I was crying i am sure its hormones but i feel really guilty like we did this to him.

Congrats BRANDY! I'm glad all is well w/ the 2 of you. Enjoy! ROBYN- Sorry to hear about the cold being pa__sed around. Don't feel guilty, it's that time of year, and hospitals are full of "stuff". It's not surprising you came home with something. What's the alternative? You HAVE to have contact w/ Justin. This too shall pa__s. :) We are having a lot of babies! I am anxious to meet mine. This weekend would be sooo perfect. Come on Reece!!! Come meet the family.

Hi ladies, I just got back from my ob appointment and I had the doctor check my cervix just for my own sanity. The doctor said the baby is still a little high, my cervix is thick and soft and he could get a fingertip in. I am just wondering what all that meant. I am a__suming that my cervix still needs to thin out, the softening is a good sign as well as the fingertip which is that I am progressing. Help just curious if I am correct or not. Thanks

Astra - February 29

Hi guys. Robyn, poor little Justin and poor you feeling so bad for him. i'm glad the aspirator worked. Mahagen, My doc said when he did my pelvic exam that he could get a finger tip in but then in the same breath said that nothing is happening. he didn't really say what state my cervix is in so maybe you are in closer shape then I am, remind me when are you due? I had my moment of pregnancy hormone rage today, my hubbie's company is transitioning to a new insurance tomorrow and I have been asking for the new insurance information for weeks, today I called the new company and they STILL don't have the info from my hubbies company and so I don't have my new number yet. Totally freaks me out even though they rea__sured me I would be covered from tomorrw. I called poor hubbie freaking out. Huge corporation. The woman in HR had the nerve to write an email saying that she would be surprised if the insruance company had our info yet since we are only starting on the first, hello lady tomorrow is the first!!! ok feeling calmer after venting. i know all will be ok, I just like everything to be organized, sorry for the huge vent:)

mahagen - February 29

Astra, LOL your hilarious!! Don't worry I am a___l about everything and when it comes to insurance with you being prego I would be freaking out too because you want to make sure anything that goes on with you and the baby if its tomorrow or a week later, its going to be covered. Oh sorry I am 38 weeks along. I asked my doc and they said they won't let me go past 41 weeks, ugh but with this being my 4th baby I hope it its sooner than that. I know I should know alot about the whole cervix and all that when I'm prego because I am a pro now going on my 4th kid but I can hardly think straight anymore at this stage of my pregnancy. The anxiety of wanting to have my lo in my arms and plus my brains in my b___st throughout my pregnancies anyways.

Thanks gals. Robyn, so sorry to hear Justin's been sick. I can understand how you feel. I find myslef constantly worrying - is he nursing enough, peeing & pooping enough, etc? Yes, I had to have a c section at the last minute. I'm definitely sore, but it is not as bad as I thought it would be. Hoping to hear soon about Little Jack & Hannah. So am I correct, we have 8 February babies who were supposed to be March babies? Blessings to all. Gotta go rest up for our first night at home! I sent pictures to Sarah's email. Hopefully she will get them out soon.

Unless Reece announces his arrival in the next 3 days, I will be induced Tuesday the 4th. I still cannot believe after all the predictions of another preterm delivery for me, I am almost 39 weeks. Crazy!! I guess those progesterone shots REALLY did the trick.

ROBYN - February 29

Melissa thats great you made it full term hey whatever works its better for Reece anyway that you made it full term. So you will be having him next week so you and Kristin then next week. We will only have a few left of our thread its amazing how far we have all come. It would be funny to find our 1st trimester posts to see what we were saying then.

OOH i am so excited for the few girls that we have left we all had the babies so quickly cant wait to see all the pics of everyone. Well i am really excited i stepped on the scale this morning and i lost 20lbs in a little over a week so i am less than 4 lbs away from pre-pregnancy i never thought it would come off this quick my b___bs are like back to normal. OH word to anyone whos bottle feeding and i think next to Monica i might be it if you are gonna bottle feed MAKE SURE you wear a good tight bra and i wear 2 tank tops literally 24 hrs a day except to take a shower and my b___bs have gone back to normal they look so small compared to only a week ago but i am 40DD normally they dont look that way now but they must still be cause i fit perfectly in my bras.

Hey everyone! I haven't had a chance to read and catch up with everyone's happenings, but I wanted to let y'all know that Jack is here! Labor and delivery went really well. They broke my water and started pitocin at 8AM Wed., and he was born at 5:45PM, after only 45 minutes of pushing. It would have been even shorter, but I had to stop pushing for several contractions to wait on the doc. I held out with no pain meds until 2:30PM, 5 cm dilated. At that point, I asked myself, "why am I doing this??" I had the epidural then, and let me tell you, I'd do it again. I have zero regret about it! Anyway, we're really glad to be home and out of the hospital. I'll send Sarah some pics soon. Jack weighed 6 lbs, 8 oz at birth (not too small!) and is 19 inches long. 'Hope y'all are all doing well! -April

Does anyone think that wearing a maternity belt will prevent you from going into labor? I am wanting to go into labor and want to do alot of walking but I also want to were the maternity support belt to help my back/hip/pelvis pain, should I go without it and deal with the pain or should I be ok. Like I said I am wanting to walk alot to help kick things in gear but I don't want to prevent the process by wearing the belt Thanks in advance for advice.
