Ok, I missed that while I was typing, but they're telling you they'll stop your labor anything before 38 weeks 2 days? If you went into the hospital anything after 37 they won't stop it. Once you're actually in active labor and so many centimeters or if your water breaks there isn't much that will stop it at that point anyway.

How many weeks can I be overdue before it's harmful to her?

hmmm...well, I don't know what to tell you. If 2 weeks is too early to have a baby....I don't know!

fefer - your pants can irritate your belly. I HATE driving in the car. The seatbelt bothers me and so do the bumps in the road. That's another way to tell they're BH is if they get worse or better depending on what you're doing. My stomach tightens everytime I turn over and it's a pain! Dawn - I'd just cross my fingers she doesn't ask again because she's preoccupied with the new puppy. I was seriously considering getting my husband that cat, but I don't think it's a good time. I did save the number in my phone, so maybe after. I almost forgot, the dr. said he has a rally chubby cord lol so that makes it harder for the knot to get pulled tight. Makes me feel a little better, but I'm just ready for it to be over.

I've never heard of a dr. letting you go past 42 weeks, most will induce around 41. I was 41 weeks 2 days and that was only because I picked the dr. I wanted to deliver me. That's why them pushing back your due date can make such a huge difference. Disko's daughter's birthday was yesterday so she was probably pretty busy with that.

I'm thinking if I don't go into labor by June 13th I'll asked to be induced, that way if my due date is June 20th I'll be one week early, but if it's May 30th I'll be 2 weeks late, so there's not an issue of her staying in for too long or not long enough... Is that a good idea?

I don't know if they'll induce you unless there's a medically necissary reason. What you're saying makes sense to me but it's the matter of getting your doctor to see things your way. Explain to him your fears of going too far past what you think your due date should be and see if he thinks inducing at "39 weeks" is a reasonable agreement. I know when I went past my due date they had me do an NST (non stress test) so you may want to see if you can start having them done. Tell him you don't believe you're off with your due dates and ask him to compromise with you. I told my doctor I'd rather be safe than sorry. Getting teary eyed about wanting to ensure I have a healthy baby I think helped lol. Tell him you'll do whatever you have to for his approval. I brought up the fact I'd be willing to do an amnio and whatever else was necissary. Being induced greatly increases your chances of a c-section so just be aware of that and prepared for him to bring that up.

Are you able to bring your grandma in to talk to him or any other adult family memeber? Sometimes I honestly think people think because your young you have no idea what you're talking about so they may listen better to somebody older. It's unfortunate but true sometimes. If I like to do my hair and makeup I get treated like I'm supposed to be stupid because I look nice. It p__ses me off, I had a coworker be shocked by the University I went to and was so offended by it.

Yes, my mom comes with me to every appointment because I know that if I went in by myself I would have NO idea what they were saying or if they were doing something they shouldn't be. My mom seems to agree with his decision. I'll talk to her about talking to him about it, he will probably take her more seriously than me.

Kay my pants (maternity pants) for some reason must end up right where violet has her footsies cause whenever i wear these pants she kicks like crazy! O and about the ferrets I dont know .. LOL but I'd lay everything out for her especially since they said your conception date was September 28th and you got a positive test on the 23rd. A fertilized egg takes 6-1O days to implant and your body won't start producing hcg until it does. That means your conception date would have to be AT LEAST 6 days before the 23rd.....I've never heard of anybody getting a positive 6 days past ovulation, but it's possible for your body to start producing the hormone then, it just wouldn't be detectable in a test till a few days later.

Oh I didn't know you sent new pictures! I've never seen a great dane be anything but tan so I can't wait to see what he looks like when he grows up. He's already huge! As far as her dad goes, I would just leave him alone. If he wants the test he can get it done on his own and let him be the one to contact you. It's not your responsibility to make him be a dad, he has to do it on his own. As far as the paternity test lol no you can't mess it up. They take a picture of the baby when you have it done. My daughter's dad is in the Army and because we were never married we had to prove she was his biological child for her to be put under his medical insurance. Otherwise, for all they know she could have been his neighbor's kid or something trying to get it for free lol I have to be honest and say I wished by some fluke the test would say she wasn't his, like the samples got mixed up at the lab or something, but I knew there was no way that was possible.
