Well I just left my doctor's office. He listened to the heartbeat for a second then asked how I was doing. I showed him my blood blisters on my belly b___ton and he said, just pregnancy related. Then I showed him my hands and ankles and asked how i can reduce the swelling. He said- delivery! He said my blood pressure is really good, so nothing I can do but put my feet up after work and relax. Guess DH will have to do all the cooking and cleaning for the next month :-)

Hi ladies.....thanks for your comments, I am so happy dh is home!! That was very stressful!! omg I would have died if that happend while I went into labor!! flybear - how was your appt? kmoselle - I have gained about 60 lbs!!! but I have done that with all my kids, I always start out underweight though. So did doc say the blister will go away on its own? i never heard of that as pregnancy related. Being prego sure does some weired things to our body!! Angel - wow those are some big boys!! lol! I am DD but defiently thing I need to go get fitted again because I am falling out of these. Mine rest on my belly to! lol Is anyone banking cord blood? I wish it wasnt so expensive! I would have loved to do it! I have been so tired it is scary!!! I cant even make my self get up to do the really important things!!! Does anyone else feel like this? If so how are u coping? My poor kids....I have been slacking on there routine and everything, I just cant do it!!! I have been letting them pretty much do as they please and letting them just watch a ridiculos amount of tv so I can rest!

I woke up this morning and those little blood blisters turned into a nice stretch mark! Geesh. Nothing like a stretchy at the top of your belly b___ton! Guess I'll never get that belly b___ton ring back in now, not that I was really planning on it with all the other stretch marks! I would love to bank the cord blood, but way too expensive. I am planning on donating it though. If I can't afford to store it I might as well let someone else use it. I still have a horrible head/sinus cold. I can't breathe through my nose at all, lots of head congestion and pressure and sneezing. I still can't sleep at night and when I do I have wretched nightmares. Not only am I impatiently waiting to meet baby, I'm getting anxious to getting my normal body/self back. I don't know how you's with kids do it. I am exhausted with it just being me and DH. I did have a taste of it over the weekend though- my sister brought her twin 1 year olds over for the weekend. They were everywhere and got into everything! At least now I know what to do to prepare for a baby friendly house- first things first- all gla__s items and anything smaller than my fist gets stored for a few years!!! Secondly- gates! What is it with babies and dog food?

It just dawned on me that I do not have a pediatrician yet. Do you guys? I never even asked my doctor about recommending one. I belong to a doctor's group, so I don't know if they have pediatricians and I need a referral to one, or do I go through my insurance? Help! How could I not have a pediatrician yet???

lol! yes baby proofing, fun!! I am used to my kids who know what not to touch so I have to go thru and baby proof again myself. My youngest is three but it is amazing the independence they have at that age, I forgot what its like starting over. I have gotten new stretch marks with each baby! its weired by the time you are on # 3 you get stretch marks on top of stretch marks!! Belly b___ton ring went out the window for me a long time ago!!! I dont know why but I have been getting very scared lately.... all of a sudden I will think what if the cord is around his neck right now and I have no way of knowing!!! I am driving myself crazy!!! I need to get him out so I know he is safe. With my other 2, I did not think like that at all, but I had 2 m/c in 2007 and I have lost the innocence of pregnancy and now releazie that stillborn births do happen and I am freaking myself out!!! Is anyone else going thru this?

KMO, I don't have a pediatrician for my lil guy yet either. I have a dr I wanna use but I've been so busy getting everything done that I haven't called yet. Do I just call and tell them that I'm going to be having a baby and hope to use her and they say okay and that's it or what? I mean I can't really do anything more cause he's not here yet meaning he doesn't technically have a name, social, insurance or anything. So I figure it won't be something that takes much time or energy if I just have to give them a ring. I honestly have just had to set goals for what I want to get accomplished every week and be extremely realistic about it cause I was getting so freaking stressed with everything I needed to do. Breezie, my appointment went good, I guess. lol Ummm... everything is normal but my lil guy is actually quite a big guy. He's already 7lbs. They dated me at 37 1/2 weeks which actually puts me right about where my original due date was. lol They are expecting a 8 - 8 1/2lb baby. lol Dr says everything still looks good for a v____al birth though as of now so I'm trying not to worry about it. I'm glad he's nice an healthy and growing big and strong, but I really wanna try a natural birth and I think I'll be terrified if he's like 9lbs. We also got registered at the hospital and took a tour there. I'm getting really really excited ladies. I'm 36w1d today. That means only 3w6d till my due date. It's so weird to see I only have 3 full more weeks. So is anyone still working? I'm still working...uggg... till January 30th and I'm telling you it's hard for me to show up everyday. Angel, so they checked your cervix, no dialation but it was softening?! Were you effaced any? I can't wait till he checks me next time just cause I wanna feel like I'm getting somewhere. I know even if I am dialated some that it could still be weeks before anything happens but I just wanna know that my body is doing something. That it does realize that baby needs to come out soon. lol Like I said, I don't want him cooking too much longer. Really, I need to finish a couple more weeks of work so I can use those paychecks but I wouldn't mind if he came a week early. I wouldn't mind ONE BIT!

Oh and I meant to mention that he's finally head down and they were able to confirm gender again. They couldn't see last time and they had only got a quick glance at 20 weeks so I was really happy she still said boy cause we bought boy stuff. lol But nope, we saw his lil b___s! :)

When does everyones OB start doing v____al exams? They start at 36 weeks for me. I get my 1st Tuedsay. Ill be 35 weeks 6 days. Hoping for zero progress!

NewBaby, my Dr doesn't start doing them till 37 weeks, so my first one will be at my appointment next week. My appointments are every week now! YAY!

My doc checks for dialation starting 36 weeks. My first check will be next Wed. I go every week now, too! Newbaby- why are you hoping for zero progress? I'm ready to get this bun outta the oven- well once I hit 37 weeks. I want baby fully cooked and healthy and ready to come home with me! Flybear- I am still working. I will work up until the day I deliver! I have to since I have such little time for maternity leave and we cannot live on DH pay alone- over 50% of his pay goes to his ex for child support plus all the taxes he pays on it.

Wow KMO, that really sucks. My husband and I were kind of leaning towards letting me try the stay at home mom thing but when he found out how much daycare costs he really wants me to try it. lol He's definitely the bigger money maker of the two of us. Plus we wanna have another kid pretty quickly afterwards so... He says as long as I'm taking good care of our kid, keeping the house clean and he can pay the bills on his own he would rather have me at home, which is fine cause I think he knows that's where I'd rather be. So the 30th will be my last day of work ever here! Not just a maternity leave. I'm so relieved too cause I hate this job. Even if I was going back to work in 6 weeks, I'd be finding something else!

You are so lucky. I would love to be a stay at home mom but I'm the money maker in the family (at least until his girls turn 18 or decide to come live with us!). We were thinking of DH being a stay at home dad, since the pay he does bring home would just cover day care anyway. While his ex spends "her" money wrongly, he never wants it to come back that he did not support his girls. So he is going to continue working for now. And with times the way they are, unless there is a change and my department is awarded more money (I work for the state), there is a good chance I may be laid off here in the next 6 months to a year. In that case, we decided I would open an in-home day-care of up to 10 kids. I have already researched it and may get my license while on maternity leave, just in case. I thought about doing it anyway, but 1. I really like my job and 2. that's a risky move and may not bring the steady pay I have coming in now. Plus, I am almost finished with my masters degree and that should take me to an even better, higher paying job. Hopefully!

KMO, congrats on the masters. My husband is considering going back for his. I had a good job in Arkansas before I moved, but we got engaged and I moved here to be with him and needed a job, even if temporary, pretty quickly to help pay for things. So I took my current job and they promised me soooo many things that of course I've never seen, this job has turned out to be a nightmare and I could make this much money working at Wal-Mart, seriously. That's another thing, I didn't really know what pays were compet_tive here cause I made this much back in Arkansas and it was MORE than enough, however here it hardly covers the basics... it's frustrating. It would have just been temporary too but then we got pregnant of course so I had to settle in for a nice 9 month haul. I'm so glad I'm going to be done with this place. I'm tired of spending 11hrs a day away from home to barely bring home enough money for a car payment, groceries and a couple of the small bills. We both decided that after paying daycare what I would actually bring home if I continued working here that I could make somewhere else, closer to home just working part time in the evenings and on weekends and we wouldn't need daycare. So if worse comes to worse and he can't handle the bills on his own then I'm going to try and just find a lil part time job somewhere or who knows maybe I'll decide to look for a GOOD full time job but for now the plan is for me to try out being a SAHM. Like I said, if we get pregnant with #2 not only do I think it would be a lot easier on me to be a pregnant mother of a lil boy if I were staying at home but God knows we wouldn't be able to afford daycare for TWO under 5... geez!

wow its active here lol! flybear did i say the doc checked me? i ment db (partner) lol! i had horrible pressure so i asked him to feel around lol! he was pretty good at feeling my cervix in O and knowing when it was open lol but he said it doesnt feel open but it feels soft unless he pushes on it then it goes hard lol! so kinda soft on the outside i guess lol! had my midwife app today but she didnt check me..............they usually start checking after 37 weeks here sometimes they leave it right up until 40 weeks if you havnt deleviered, but i think i,d want to know whats going on lol....... omg i so worry about things like that aswell breezieb! i know exactly how you feel! I just want her out asap so i know she,s safe lol!! obviously after 37 weeks though

KMO- Im hoping for zero progress because at 37 weeks we have a 9 day trip to Florida. (We live in Ohio.) I dont want to deliver out of state. We get home on Feb. 6 and im due Feb 18. My fiance is a pro sprint car driver and its the kickoff to the 09 season.

My DH is from Ohio. I love it up there. Hear you got quite a cold snap this week! We live in Florida. We were wearing t-shirts yesterday but that cold front is making its way down south and it's sweater time today! Good thing, too, I love bundling up! Plus I bought a few new winter maternity outfits that I haven't been able to wear with the warm weather (and my never-ending hot flashes) but now I can!
